That's nothing. When I was a SS at Goodge street i would often find human excrement on the platform after the last train had departed. Always in the same spot. This would be behind the fire cabinet. I quite agree some people are absolutely disgusting. They are not unique to the Underground though.

Excellent Pics of my favourite station. Hope that hideous eyesore at the front comes down soon so we can see the station in all it's glory. Does anybody know if there will be any work on the end that will be visible when the Green Building is removed.

If I manage to get to Acton (seems a strong possibility). I plan to be there for 1100hrs how will I recognise anybody from the forum. Sorry just realised I may have asked this before but not sure. When you say entrance is that the entrance to the site or entrance to the building.

aslefshrugged I totally agree with everything you say. I for one get totally p***ed off when I travel on LUL when I keep hearing "good service". I say leave to the station staff as it was when I worked for LUL.

I to can say I have been on Sarah Siddons. As a member of the "Steam on the Met Team" I was asked if I would like a trip on her. I jumped at the chance and rode all the way from Amersham to Neasden Depot. An amazing experience

I am a TfL pensioner. I have a retired person's PTAC. I also applied for a PTAC for my partner which she has. We are not married.

In the days when I worked on LUL there was such s thing as a " One Day Priv Tkt" I understand that this has now been discontinued. Has it been replaced by something similar. I dont have a priv oyster as I don't live in London. Just a PTAC for NR, LUL and the DLR,

As a matter of interest what time did normal service resume. I suffered indirectly as I was on one of my rare trips into London yesterday. Suffered on the Northern Line.

When I worked on LUL if the barriers weren't manned they must be left in the open position. However OCC as it was then would be soon on the phone wanting to know why? The person on duty at "CR** ROOM" may have well been on their meal break. Definitely a reason to be in the office but the barriers should have been open

Railtechnician I thoroughly endorse and agree with everything you say. When I was on the job we would only see our GSM once in a blue moon. Anybody above that. I wouldn't have recognised them anyway.

One for the diary! tfl website - 'Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April, no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Croxley/Rickmansworth. A special service will operate between Watford, Croxley, Rickmansworth and Amersham/Chesham. Replacement buses operate' Chesham/Amersham to Watford trains then! Perhaps they could be run using Steam Locos. STEAM ON THE MET 2012 WOW!

Chris on a light hearted note. I am sure that somewhere there is a joke in there somewhere about why the Woolwich Ferry is being suspended. However due to recent events in Italy perhaps it is not the time and place yet.
Anyway best of luck with negotiating the DLR at the weekend.

Has anybody made the LTM aware of the situation regarding the price of the racks. I'm sure they would welcome any comments.

Talking of wind. In years gone by we would have "Secret Shoppers" visiting stations with a check list of things to look for, "Secretly" of course. There would be two visits supposedly independent of each other. On one visit one of these "Secret Shoppers" complained that it was very windy on our platform as the trains approached. What did they expect.

Is it a mock up of a Crossrail Retro Station. Just to show what things were like in the good old days.

Correct me if I wrong but on the final version of the Refurbishment didn't it revert back to bench seats as the individual seats proved unpopular during the trials.
