It isn't that staircase. As I can't be bothered to check the relative depths and space available, etc, I don't know whether it could be or not.
As a bit of a clue, D stocks don't serve this station.

Why can't it be these? the stairs could go down to the entrance, underneath the tracks. The window could easily be a view onto the platform.
