Who was the 4TC rolling stock repainted by. Secondly has 20227 been retuned to it's former BR colours. I thought it looked very smart in Met colours,

What coaching stock is going to be used for the Amersham Heritage Day as I thought that the coaches that were used for "Steam on the Met" had all be scrapped.

Talking of season tickets and Photo cards. back in the days when i worked on the Met and what is now Chiltern trains stopped at Moor Park (AKA Krap Room) We had a customer who purchased a season ticket for his Bicycle as you had to pay for bikes. You've guessed it the bike had a photo card. Does anybody know of any other quirks such as this.

Further to my earlier post I remember another rumour that LUL or LRT whoever it was in those days had gone as far as getting the price of a couple of buses in LUL livery to operate a service between Amersham and Chesham. Thus still operating a "service". Apparently it would have been cheaper to operate these buses than maintain the Branch and operate the trains.
Thanks MetControl for confirming the branch won't close. It use to make a lovely trip on a Sunday afternoon. It does amaze me though how little patronage Chesham gets based on LUL own figures.
Keep up the good work all those still working for LUL.

Can I play the role of a good old **** stirrer and ask the following question. Has there been talk in recent years about closing the Chesham Branch. This seemed to be always spoken about when I worked on the Met ()89-96. The rumour was that there were too many senior LUL managers living in Chesham to allow this to happen.

I should have given a bit more info on how long ago I was talking about. It must have been about 50 years back.

Am I dreaming or did the Goblin service ever run through to Southend. As I am sure that when I was a kid and living in North London we used to get the train from Harringay Stadium as it was then (I think) all the way to Southend without changing at Barking.

A great film. I worked at the LT Museum for six years and never saw this. Would be interesting to compare it with a modern one following the exact same route.

I have just looked at the Guide to Watford as shown on the above link. Are my eyes deceiving me on does it say a service every 10 mins from Watford on a Sunday. This seems OTT as when I worked at Watford & Croxley there was a service ever 20 mins on a Sunday and that was sometimes too much. We would be lucky to see anybody AT ALL after 1800 hrs on a Sunday
