Am I allowed to ask if the name Robert Rankin has any relevance to the image?

Robert Rankin - Ministry of Serendipity (fictional agency whose main activity is to ensure the British Empire rules the globe, via dealings with Alien activity and suchlike.) The Top Secret nature of the Ministry being the main reason why the station was only open on weekdays and closed for "repairs" for much of the 1990s. Perhaps the only station that would be typically pictured closed in the daytime

How about Lambeth North - given it often closes thus most likely to be photographed shut??

Never thought of Lambeth North to be honest. Please type "Ministry of Serendipity into Google Search.

So you're saying that's the river Thames? It is actually! It's a generic shot I took of the river near Westminster Bridge a few years ago, it's been used to represent several other bits of water in the past though, as well as just generic water/flooding/etc as here.
