Had a very informative driver on a journey from Oxford Circus to Stratford today, even pointing out that we were passing the disused British Museum Station and referring to the Bethnal Green disaster. At one point he mentioned his website unfortunately this was unintelligible. Does anybody know the web address of his site. Please let him know his commentary was much appreciated. .

Doubtless related to problems last night, my son was stuck at Moor Park at about 8.00pm for about two hours. It would be good to hear an explaination of last night's problem, at one point the train moved forward slightly at the platform to allow the following Chiltern to proceed right up the S stock and discharge passengers through the drivers door.

July issue The Railway Magazine reports "Reading West & Bramley station platforms have been slightly altered to allow 50 year old Tube stock to be taken to Eastleigh Works by rail for scrapping." Does this mean the A stock will soon make a more dignified exit so to speak.

I raised the prospect of Amersham / Chesham to Watford Junction at one of the Croxley Link Consultation sessions to be told it had not been considered, I suspect whilst Hertfordshire County Council are involved with scheme Buckinghamshire are not.
I would have also thought that when these weekend closures are taking place Chorleywood & Ricky residents should be actively encouraged to use the service rather than drive into Watford.

When I exited Tower Gateway at about 1400hrs yesterday all four oyster readers displayed a message 'not operational' or something similar and would not respond to a touch out. There were a group of people working on a control panel nearby which I assumed was connected to the readers who were unable to help, i then walked back to the readers and they were now working normally. On entering Tower Hill all barriers were open but with a notice to 'touch in'. Clearly there was a system failure in the area yesterday.

Would I right in assuming that staff wearing blue underground tabards at the stations effected by this weekend's closures are contract staff with no local knowledge? I asked at Ricky how to get to Moor Park and was told to take the bus going to Harrow and that it was stopping at all stations including Moor Park. The buses I saw had no route maps. The TFL provided Florescent Pink & Black lettered signage indicating the bus route was illegible in the dark.
Would it not have been helpful to have station staff on the platform at Harrow to help the Chiltern Shuttle driver, people were boarding the train when it pulled into Platform 1.
On the return bus trip it failed to stop at Northwood Hills only stopping further down the road after much shouting from irate passengers. When we reached Ricky the driver started heading up the Chorleywood Road towards Amersham until I pointed that maybe he should have stopped at Ricky.

Oh for days of peak hour Amersham trains non stopping between Finchley Road Road & Moor Park. At least you could get a seat from Finchley Road travelling Northbound. I recall they would be announced at Amersham as fast city 'express' trains.

Platform One at Moor Park used to have an illuminated sign to indicate when the next Northbound Amersham train would be from Platform 3 (in the days before the current through Chesham service.) Does anyone when & why it was removed.
Both myself and my partner have recently missed northbound trains to Ricky particularly at night when Amersham / Chesham trains sometimes use the slow lines.

I guess that explains why no 1930 departure from Chesham! - Just had to sit on the platform for half an hour with no information except for recorded announcements ' A good service is operating on all lines except the East London line which is closed.'

First impressions Great Improvement - air con temperature just right, you don't feel you are entering a fridge. Big windows create a very light airy interior. Like others, I'm not sure about the opening door chime and please trim the spacing between 'Metropolitan' and 'Line' although I think it would have been better if 'Metropolitan Line' had been recorded as one phrase. I was a bit surprised by rattling noise from the roof area when travelling southbound between HOTH and Wembley. I also thought the Moquette pattern looked good personally I think the "Barman Moquette" is too fussy. I can't wait for trains to stabled in Ricky North sidings so that I'm not disturbed by train crew walking through an A stock banging each of the inter-connecting doors in the small hours!

I agree with others, Class 20 cab on rear of a train travelling northbound towards Amersham with Chesham branch on Left, probably with Sarah Siddons at front of train.
