..... but only on Saturday/Sunday 21/22 January !! No service south of Harrow. 30 mins Amersham - Harrow (platform 2) 'fast'. (A chance for track/crossover 'bashers' there to use the crossover north of the station). 30 mins Chesham - Harrow all stations 10-20 mins Watford - Harrow all stations These trains terminate at Harrow in platform 5 then shunt via the siding to platform 4. (therefore 10 mins local stations Moor Park - Harrow. 15 mins Uxbridge - Harrow (reverse in platform 6). Another chance for people to ride the little-used No.207 crossover. Additional Chiltern trains Harrow - Marylebone.

The Met was in a bit of a mess yesterday - points failure at Baker Street from 06.10 to 07.00 and signal failure at Baker Street 19.05 to 20.05. This was enough for an 'apology' poster today. The aftermath was that there were a few 'fast' trains about after the events, presumably to regain some time here and there.

Running them fast shaved off some of the 60+ minutes of late running after the evening failure, but even that made little or no impression Yes, 2 entirely different failures, affecting almost the very same section of track. However whilst the first happened early morning and was easier to contain, the second happened towards the end of the evening peak with plenty of Mets becoming stuck in the city.

Moorgate became a dumping ground I would imagine. Were any reversals made over the running line crossovers (Farringdon/Kings X etc)?

platform 6? the circle line platform? how did it fit?

It doesn't ;D The Mets were detrained at various locations, and to reverse from platform 6, the train has to be routed around 1-2 cars beyond the station starting signal towards Edgware Road, which then allows the rear of the train to berth.

If Met line trains reverse from Platform 6 they can only travel back to the City; so how does this help when, surely, the idea is to try and clear the section Baker Street to Aldgate of unwanted Mets?

Yes, but they could not get to Baker Street platform 2 because of a points failure. They were stuck on the northern part of the Circle Line and had to shuttle up and down trying to keep the C&H services clear and going.

It helps when you can't get anything North of Baker Street! As there are only 4 platforms in the city, 2 at Aldgate and 2 at Moorgate, that Mets can go into to get out of the way, try dealing with 8 or 9 Mets and no way to send then North. Best way is to keep them moving running empty backwards and forwards, and via P6 if a train is already in P2. ;D ;D

Also saw bronzeonion on the trains earlier

Are there any future engineering works that will result in this, as I didn't come down due to a lack of a camera...

11th February looks like a good one, Met is only running between Rickmansworth and Amersham/Chesham, as well as Harrow-Uxbridge. And with no Chiltern south of Amersham, the service should be interesting. Any details on frequencies north of Rickmansworth?

Y'know, in 5 years of working at Baker St. I never reversed in Plat. 6. Any A Stocks that accepted the wrong route at MB34 were sent on to Edgware Road because they were normally trapped by the next train standing at the home.

Ah good, hopefully A stock, as I think that'd only require two trains to run that operation

Saying that, the 18th of february looks even more interesting. Services only running between Northwood and Watford/Amersham/Chesham, as well as Wembley Park - Moorgate. Can anyone touch on the level of service on this day, sorry for the off topic nonsense, regarding this thread, but while I'm here I may as well ask

Were there any S Stocks running over the weekend to Chesham? Also just out of curiosity you say that all Amersham trains were A Stock. Why not make up the full service with S Stocks? Surely there are now enough to do this considering the line was only part opened

It depends on what is stabled at Ricky and Uxbridge during the blockade.
The service between Northwood and Watford/Amersham/Chesham is usually slim. There was I think a train every 10mins I think which was 3tph on each branch. That was when the Chesham shuttle last ran.
