I note the Met is shut between Wembley Park and Northwood again - does this mean an A stock shuttle to ease reversing at Northwood for Chesham, or just normal runs from both Chesham and Amersham to Northwood?

A stock - you'll be lucky!
I reckon it'll be all S stock this weekend.

I guess I'll find out on Saturday then what's out... If you're going out early, post on here whether there are any A's (if you don't mind!). I may just venture out if there are! Weekend opportunities for A stock are numbered (and may already have passed into history).

I won't be in London on Saturday so that's a no-go from the start, unfortunately Do hope someone else on here goes up that way then though. Sure most of the people that frequent this section would poke their head out on the premise of A stock

I would just like to clear something up about the title, the closure of the metropolitan line is on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th between Wembley Park and uxbridge and Wembley park to Northwood. Services running between Northwood and Watford every 15 mins, Watford to Amersham every 30 mins, Watford to Chesham every 30 mins, resulting in a 15 min service between Chalfont and Watford. Before anyone asks, the possession is between Wembley park and harrow on all lines to replace track in the Preston road area.

(Silly question maybe) Are trains running Wembley Park to Aldgate? I suppose these will just be S stocks?

Hello,
TfL web site mention on their page "Metropolitan closure" that the Chiltern service, too, is suspended between Marylebone and Amersham. So, anyone who wants to go to Aylesbury will have to use FOUR (actually FIVE) different vehicles:
* Circle or H&C to Baker St; * Met. to Wembley Pk; * replacement bus to Northwood; * Met. shuttle to Amersham; * and finally Chiltern to Aylesbury !
Lucky I don't have to go any further than Finchley rd !

To travel from Marylebone to Aylesbury this weekend * Marylebone to Beaconsfield - Chiltern * Beaconsfield to Amersham - Rail Replacement Bus * Amersham to Aylesbury - Chiltern
Quicker than sdx's route and explains Amersham<->Beaconsfield replacement bus

The bus is mainly for those requiring Amersham and stations to Stoke Mandeville. Aylesbury passengers are better served by Aylesbury via High Wycombe/P Risborough trains.

Oops sorry - I post photos on a lot of Forums and did not realize that there was no auto size function in the DD Forum software. I will ensure that i comply with the size constraints in the future. XF
