any reason that yesterday 3rd sept, at around 2015 at finchely road, there were two FAST amersham trains within 5 minutes of each other? on top of this neither stopped at wembley park as well, delays i pressume?

so does this mean that the met will be using trains that have no traverse seating at all?! that must be a first.

in another thread i have read that the off peak fasts will return in 2016, and that the reason for their withdrawal was to allow upgrade work to commence?

just a quick question or thought relating to baker street, will the subsurface platforms ever be refurbished/modernised completely? i think it looks a little run down recently!

ahh i should have explained, it was going very very fast but slowed down ALOT just before neasden so that would make sense, None the less i am still convinced that before neasden it must have at least reached 60mph!

was fortunate enough to travel on an a stock from baker street to eastcote. the best part was the fact that between finchley road and wembley park, the train was definitely going above 60mph close to 70mph, it was so quick and such a shame they rarely go that quick now. The ride however was awful but still very fun! Why cant the s stock run this fast in service when the a stock still clearly can! surely not an upgrade!

a question about the refurbs of these as well as the other LU stock
how was it decided about what order to refurbish the stocks? i notice the a stock being the oldest for refurbishment was done after the c stock and 1972/67 stock when it was already much older!

ive actually noticed this as well, it seems tthat the chances of catching an a stock are still relatively high despite there being so few of them. Whats the reasoning for holding back so many s stocks?

is there any chance of fast trains returning regularly off peak?
when the timetable was made, if it was pinner users complaining, surely they couldve made the previous fast trains as semi fasts rather than all stations?

hi all
tomorrow afternoon, arriving at pinner station at around 17.00-17.15, I am trying to get to east croydon station, now looking at journey planner there are two ways to get there, one by going to farringdon (direct on the met) and one by going to london bridge station/london victoria (taking to jubilee line from baker st or finchely road), any ideas on which one is quicker if anyones ever done this route before?
Many thanks

having the c stock off the mark quicker than the s stock would cause passengers to get annoyed with the "slow service"!!!

|

doesnt that mean that the s8s initially will be slower of the mark than the s7s?

the s stock are definitely an improvement but at the moment acceleration is just so slow! this brings up a few questions ofcourse they have to match the a stocks performance, however, will the acceleration rate be turned up once all a stocks have gone? if not, why cant this be done, surely this would be odd having the c stock off the mark quicker than the mets s stocks! when the c stock gets replaced, will the s stock acceleration be quicker than the mets s stocks?

now with the new timetable coming in december, watford south junction will be used much more intensively, this raises the question, i saw a video of the junction in 1992, it is different to todays one. this raises the question, when was the junction replaced and why was it replaced when the old one allowed trains to pass over it alot quicker?!

has the performance (acceleration mainly) been turned up now that the 67s have gone?
