I am convinced that I have travelled on northbound trains making that very move. Admittedly it was years ago. Indeed, but as 200 points will not be used during the Hot Weather Plan the statement is correct, for the duration of the Timetable Notice

Are we saying that we will have trains which are non DDA compliant right until 2029? Or will the interiors be done in the short run with just the re tractioning work taking much longer? All trains that go through CLIP will be to the finished standard, CCTV, DTS modification, LED lights, new AC motors, wheelchair spaces, PIS screens etc.

10min service, single platform, train must be out in 7min. Reversing via siding with one additional train allows longer layovers.

The failure first occurred on Saturday 16 March at 0600 when VCC4 Vehicle Control Centre crashed, and trains were unable operate across the boundary between 3 and 4 Monument, 4 and 5 Sloane Square. All trains stopped communicating with the Control Centre. Unfortunately a trespasser compounded the attempts to move trains manually (one at a time) away from the failure area to reboot the VCC. After 0900 the boundary were reset and train were moved away from the boundary conflict points. The VCC was rebooted at 1035 and movement was regained. Unfortunately the failure reoccurred at 1745 when an engineers train came across the boundary from VCC3, which was under possession for the weekend. Services resumed around 1830 with severe delays advertised until close of traffic.
Sunday 17 March; VCC4 failure reoccurred 1420, service suspended West Ham-Ealing/Richmond/Wimbledon and Edgware Road service. Service resumed between Upminster and Whitechapel 2130 but remained suspended for passengers on rest of Line until close of traffic. Test trains were run empty from across the suspended section during the evening.
It was concluded that engineers trains working within the weekend possession Wembley Park-Aldgate East, which included VCC3 Euston Square-Monument/Stepney Green had sometimes incorrectly used their CBTC equipment for movement, disrupting the interface between the passenger trains along the District part of SMA3.

Barons Court is not step-free between Lines, there is a small step up into Piccadilly trains. Hammersmith is now step-free after the work last year to lift the Piccadilly tracks to the platform.

To be quite honest, this wouldnt be the first time LU are taking action on old trains: The A stock was refurbished around the 35-40 year old mark! The A Stock and other Stock refurbished in the late 1980s-early 90s needed to be refurbished following the findings of the King’s Cross fire recommendations.

Its great that an autumn 2024 map has already been released but I'm trying to remember summer 2024 - my mind draws a blank. What happened - did we swap seasons with Australia? Autumn 2024 coincides with the implementation of the LO line name changes, which will happen after the summer.

I haven’t heard that term before, even during my 37 years working D Stock. I can only assume it would be a quick release of the deadman device which would cause the rheostatic brake to dropout, thus allowing the friction brake only to assist with stopping.

Does that mean that even with a service suspension Queensway to Leyton there are insufficient trains to run the remaining services? The Friday service before Night Tube is based on a 71 train service, which is printed in full. 25 trains are required for the weekend services: West Ruislip-White City, every 10min Ealing Broadway-White City, every 10min Leytonstone-Epping, every 10min Leytonstone-Hainault (via Newbury Park), every 20min Woodford-Leytonstone (via Hainault), every 20min

There's also another closure between White City and Leytonstone on 6th & 7th April. Is this closure to sort out some of the track concerns or is it for track replacement, grinding etc? Maybe we could see the removal of the TSRs after this closure? TTN34/24 Rail Grinding Work Between Queensway and Leyton.

I wonder if Network Rail still sometimes borrows this train. Network Rail wouldn’t borrow the TRT, as the motor cars are 4th rail fitted, but possibly the TRC666 as it has in the past.

Once the route was initially selected from the list above, the start and destination station could be selected individually, or just accept the given route stations given. All stations on the selected route could be selected.

*I know it may not reach the Uxbridge branch in full at all and this is to remain with the current signalling for the foreseeable. The signalling is being changed on the Uxbridge branch, new lineside signals for use by Piccadilly trains and CBTC overlaid.

For many years the weekend service has been every 10min from Edgware Road and 10min via Victoria, currently every 20min starting at Barking and 20min from Tower Hill, combining to provide a 5min service from Earl’s Court to Wimbledon.
This weekend with the Ealing closure, a revised frequency is operating, with trains from Upminster to Wimbledon every 10min.
