How many trains have been in service on average over the last few weeks? Is 60 trains likely to be achievable in practice? TTN88/23 requires 71 M-F recently has been: 52 54 46 49 etc

Mildmay makes marginal sense to me as the NLL passes through Mildmay Park, with a former station there The TfL stuff issued on Thursday says it’s named after the now closed hospital, which the Line isn’t closest to.

So are they getting rid of the London overground branding completely, eg. the roundels at stations, the announcements on trains… The trains will still be orange, the platform roundels and station frontages won’t change.

So you can't cut out a defective motor? Traditionally on the Underground all motors on individual motor cars could be isolated by using the TCOS Traction Control Cut-Out Switch (nicknamed ’Ten Point’) in that car. 1973 Stock and subsequent Stock have dual wired traction circuits and it would be possible to use from the cab to reduce the available motors by half, not necessarily individual units (D Stock would be cars 1+4 or 3+6).

Using the TCCOS would isolate two cars of motors and the associated rheostatic/regenerative braking on those cars. Yes, it is a way of using defective units in passenger service, without having them piled up in depots. There is no suggestion currently of using them on other parts of the Line.

a further reduced timetable is not yet in operation, planned for 4 March 2024. The mitigation mentioned above is very imminent.

A trial is shortly to start with up to two 8-car trains having the middle traction package isolated via the Traction Control Cut-Out Switch TCCOS. The trains will operate on the Hainault-Woodford shuttle only.

Hanger Lane junction (District) signal is WM20/WM21 depending upon route set. Before resignalling, Rayners Lane had route setting levers, the eastbound station starter was P32H for Piccadilly; P31H for MET; the H or L denoting whether the level should be pusHed or pulLed.
Harrow still retains route setting levers but in a different way, each lever is assigned just one route: JB2 pfm.1, JB13 pfm.3 and JB14 pfm.4, points would change automatically.

What was the difference between the 62 and 59 stock, they virtually looked the same. Almost identical, remember that 1959 Stock was initially delivered to the Central in 8-car formation before moving on to other Lines. 1959 Stock was exclusively built by Metro-Cammell, some 1962 cars were built by BR at Derby. Cab equipment was slightly different, hence why the latter fitted stabling light was on different sides of the headlights, the MG indicator mounted near floor level on the ‘62s. The driving desk was one piece rather than separate columns for master controller and brake handles.

Off-peak westbound Northfields trains are scheduled to use pfm.1, eastbound Piccadilly trains are mostly scheduled to use pfm.3. However, still being traditionally controlled, although now from South Kensington, signal operators regularly alter platform allocation at a moments notice.
