O/T but I find it a touch of irony that as I leave turnpike lane (my home) to Enfield that my local station is a quiz question on the same day I presume this isn't why it was chosen today! Hehe

I was going to comment earlier but was moving all day yesterday! That clock looks like the one at turnpike lane. Not sure if other stations have that clock, but turnpike lane def has that clock! As it is was my local station!

I also have heard rumours that route 29 will be the first to have the New Bus for London. When the bendy goes on the route on 26 Nov' it is going to have a mixed allocation of buses from other Arriva garages/routes and return to its native Wood Green garage. You can see its a gap fill of buses too! I will miss the bendy buses. The N29 is the busiest night bus route in London, so I dont know how they are gonna combat it, unless its every 3 minutes!

no doubt HS2 will probably cost an arm and a leg to travel on! I hope it gets finished, but if Cameron can afford 16,000 police, he can afford a new railway line!

Many Thanks to everyone! Some very kind words and a bit of wisdom thrown in! Who knows what the future holds... but that future involves this forum, so it must be good Glad my wedding wasnt today, whether has been that 4 letter word beginning with S! Although my suggestion of a wedding on the circle line was met with both physical and verbal objections ) Thanks again guys

I remember 11 years ago when the post for LUL Train Driver became available! I was only 19! I remember the tests! I got through all the tests, including reaction tests using fingers, pedals and the like! Checking for 4 dots instead of 3! I passed all that, just not the interview I was gutted, and have been unsuccessful for applications for a CSA and havent seen it advertised for ages! If I had got through, Id have been on the trains for 10 years already! I am really enjoying this forum Never learnt so much in my life.. would never have done the last '67 without this forum, so thanks I hope for more good times! As you may have gathered from a previous post, I am getting Married tomorrow, and as a result, I cannot attend the forum meet (wife would kill me!) So you all have a good time, and hopefully I can attend the next one!

I think the main thing here is that we show the world that our London Underground is the best in the world and that we are proud of what we have! We need to make sure that all visitors see a fantastic railway and fingers crossed there isnt too many failures! I love London Underground

I guess the main thing with the Overground as it has been billed as a metro style service where you can turn up and go... this is not the case with a half hourly service, but somewhere at the back of my mind, I read somewhere that the large gap in service at night was because of NR... not sure if that is right... someone here will correct me if I am wrong! I live near the GOBLIN line, and find it a fantastic service now.... The train sounds like a bus! I do miss the old diesel sounds! Anyway, I think in order to keep the LO going and increase the brand/reputation, then the service does need more enhancements, and I hope these do happen! I wish that LO could run more services out of London Terminals to local London destinations and some outer London destinations! (yes I know im moving towards RIPAS areas, so will stop now)
