Is it still planned to withdraw the remaining five C stocks on or before 4th June?

Is there any info about C stock trips to Northwood (if that's where they're going)? The latest post says 5 rakes are left as though it's common knowledge. On this forum so far only one out of 8 has gone for scrap! Not wishing to best 'Dstock7080' whose regular C stock updates have been much appreciated, my own C Stock observations this morning may be of interest. 072 with 5592 at eastbound end, 073 with 5529----5545 and 076 with 5594----5733. Sorry not all car nos noted. Any info as to further reductions in use of C stock and/or last day of normal traffic would be much appreciated.

Is it still planned to withdraw the remaining five C stocks on or before 4th June? There are currently 7 trains left in London running 4 District line workings (only 3 during this weekends engineering work). They will be withdrawn from passenger service before 4 June. Is there any info about C stock trips to Northwood (if that's where they're going)? Next trips to Northwood will be 4/6/10 June.

You may only see 3 operating this weekend because of the planned engineering work, a reduced 15min (6 train) service is running Edgware Road to Wimbledon.

Would be great if a C Stock could perhaps perform something along the lines of 2 x round trips on the Circle Line as T260 one evening peak next week prior to a mid-evening changeover back to an S7.

5529/6529/5524/6524/6555/5545 Are you sure about 6555/5545 - that would be a very unusual pairing.

I hope you got a photo of that, as unless the service goes down at some point between now and Tuesday, it'll almost certainly have been the last use of the bay road until the resignalling.

...until the resignalling. When, of course, it may well no longer be a bay road!

Although, having said that, it may not be true. It'll probably be the last passenger use, but I have seen the odd Engineering train in the bay road before, a while back now.

"The C-stock trains have operated on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and on the District line between Edgware Road and Wimbledon for over 40 years, but have become increasingly unreliable and costly to maintain as time has gone on. "
It really irritates me to read that, which is naturally spouted everytime a fleet renewal happens. Its rarely true and is never black and white anyway. If you want something unreliable and costly, try the 1992ts which has been a disaster from its introduction. Of course there isnt any money to get rid of it yet, and no doubt a few people involved with its conception and birth are still around to have their faces put out. So, it will not be demonised. Yet.
What a shame the end is now, would have liked one last ride! Excellent aesthetic, even if the mechanics were run into the ground. Is a unit or two being kept? Or just a lone dead carriage for Acton?

Even if the stat on increasingly costly to maintain is misleading, it's indisputable that the new trains are a vast improvement for passengers.

5596+6596 disposed of from Northwood today 03/06. Site now clear for tomorrow's arrival.
I would politely suggest that stating that 'C' Stock had become 'increasingly unreliable and costly to maintain' might give users of the Bakerloo and Piccadilly Lines reason to wonder about the reliability of services on these lines over the coming years.
