D Stock Is restricted from High Street Kensington to Egdware Road due to short platforms.
1995 Stock Is not allowed to operate on any other lines because it may interfere with signalling equipment
1972 Is allowed to run empty on other lines if it is fitted with a tripcock and is then limited to a maximum speed of 30mph. Can operate on the Piccadilly anywhere on the line. Although it can only enter the sidings at Arnos Grove and in Platform 1 at Cockfosters empty.
1992 Stock Not allowed to go on any other lines without special approval because: i)The stock may interfere with signalling equipment ii)The stock is not normally fitted with tripcocks iii)Of the small wheels meaning that the gearboxes could damage the negative rail
That is all I know of.

They should have done that to Putney Bridge by now. That way the trains going into Platform 3 would not have to come in so slow due to the speed restriction. The trains would have gone to Platform 2.

Hi all, I was watching TV the other day and there was an advert for the new Narnina movie - Prince Caspian. In the advert I noticed one scene was filmed on a Marylebone station platform. Although, I cannot vividly recall what map there was on the wall of the tunnel in the station, but I do think it was a Northern Line map. Or it could have been the Bakerloo Line map when the line also ran to Stanmore. When the camera turned to the characters in the station, I saw 'Great Central' Has anyone else seen this advert? Oh yeh, I think the train that came into the station was a 1938ts but I am not sure Uzair

Well then it is not VERA. It might have been Emma, but I am not referring to the change from alight to exit.

It might be VERA as it was a few years back. I remember they used to be "This is a District Line train calling at all stations to Edgware Road"

I am not saying anything about punctuation as I use colons and semi colons.. I just wanted to know what Joe S meant by, how the Wimblewares are going to be run when there is no terminating at Edgware Road. I do not understand what he means. Nothing to do with punctuation.

Hi all, I was on a website which has quite a lot of London Underground train announcements, e.g. where the train terminates, this station is.., next station etc. Anyway, on the Edgware Road to Wimbledon District Line announcement, I clicked on the arrow between HSK and Earl's Court (so it was the next station announcement) and it happened to be the old one on the C Stock which was : "The next station is Earl's Court. This is a District Line train, to Wimbledon. Change for the Piccadilly Line and District Line services to other destinations. Alight, for Earl's Court Exhibition Centres." Great! I havn't heard that announcement for many years now, so it brings back an old memory. Does anyone prefer the above one to the one now? When was this one taken off and replaced with the current one? Thanks Uzair

A good discussion here. So are Terminals are being demolished for Heathrow East. Is it T1, T2 and Queen's Building offices, or something different? Clarification would be appreciated. I think there should be at least one extra platform at Hatton Cross. Maybe they could have a shuttle to Terminal 6? Anyway there is still ages to go until construction of T6. Uzair

But is it only one line? Could do with showing destination and line, like the one on the front. It is one line but I believe it will scroll. One line what??

Are all the sidings at Parsons Green long enough to accommodate S Stock trains. Apart from the one behind the W/B platform obviously, it can barely fit in a C. Are the platforms at Earls Court and all stations from there to Upminster long enough to have an S Stock train in it? Oh yeh, and what about Moorgate? Barking has a lot of sidings, what about that as a stabling point? Are the new S Stock trains for the District Line be the same length as the current D Stock trains? Uzair

You have a good plan there sweek. Although I think it is necessary to have a crossover at Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3 mainly because it is like the main Heathrow station and if there are service disruptions/engineering work going on. Not only that, but have you thought about where the trains will return back to normal running (E/B trains on left hand side and vice versa) after Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3? Because on your diagram, you indicate trains at Terminals 1,2,3 would run E/B at both platforms. Or do you mean the platforms would remain bi-directional?
They should have really built a scissor crossover on the east side of Terminal 5, because if there will be a loop from T5 to T6, then it would be likely trains would be suspended to T5 during construction. Or what they might do is construct the loop from one siding at T5 first, have all trains go in to one siding and reduce the number of T5 trains.

Reverse a train at Parsons Green from the E/B platform back to the W/ track. I looked at the diagram of Parsons Green on the main site and altough there is a track that goes from the E/B track across the westbound track to the sidings. It is not possible for a train to go back on to the W/B track. Is there any way of how to do this?

London Fenchurch Street does not have the capacity at all. I think TfL or whoever it is that does the DLR developments is going to make a much better interchange between Limehouse DLR and c2c. Uzair

Hi everyone In the refurbished D stock trains, is there a way you choose what is shown on the Electronic Destination Display at the front/sides of the train. If you can, is it letters or numbers or what . Also, would anyone happen to have any pictures of it is there is one. Thanks Uzairrrrrrr
