Hi all, At Parsons Green, where the points are, why is there white paint on the edge of the fourth rail (I think that is the one in the middle) where there are rail gaps.
Also, why are there zig-zag lines on some of the track in the Parsons Green area?
Thanks Uzair

Hi all, Just wanted to ask a couple of questions I am unsure about. 1) How come in quite a few D Stock trains, some maps have got the Piccadilly as an interchange at Ealing Common while other maps dont? 2) How come on the D Stock maps, the Piccadilly is not marked as an interchange at Gloucester Road? 3) When District Line trains are between South Kensington and Sloane Square heading towards South Kensington, do they play 'The next station is South Kensington. Change for the Piccadilly Line and Circle Line, via High Street Kensington and Paddington' instead of at Gloucester Road because at South Kensington you can wait on the same platform whereas at Gloucester Road *I think* you have to crossover to a different platform to get the Circle Line? Thanks Uzair

Okay well they seemed to be slightly slower and they just did not sound like Emma Clarke. Only the 'This is a Victoria Line train to Brixton' announcement sounded like Emma Clarke

Hi all, I was on the way from Kings Cross to Victoria and the 'next station' and 'this is' announcements seemed to be quite different to how they usually are. Is it me or are they different because I am just confused... Thanks, Uzair

Don't really like the design of the S Stock. It looks too much like the Class 323 but thats because of the light clusters. Maybe I just got that impression from the angles thoguh. The construction of the 2009 seems to be going very well indeed. Great pictures from you guys Thanks for sharing Uzair

I was there last week on the H&C and I passed Wood Lane. I couldn't see DMI systems. Just saw the maps and Shepherds Bush had been renamed to Shepherds Bush Market. I will go there next week and try to get some pictures or videos

Hi all, Is it physically possible for London Underground to build a crossover from the Outer Rail Circle Line to Platform 3 or 4?

Hi all, Just looking at The London Tube track maps and remembered there was a crossover to the east of the station. Does this allow trains to reverse WB-EB? If it is they must go towards Queensway and then take the crossover to the EB platform. Am I right?
Also, when the 2003 derailment occured, I think the line was suspended a few days after between Holborn and Leytonstone? Did the train terminating at Holborn from the west enter the EB as normal and then reverse into the headshunt?? How did they go back to the west?
Thanks, Uzair

For some reason they are extending Shadwell before all the others. Island Gardens is long enough - I think And Cutty Sark will have Selective Door Opening

I always thought they would build a crossover at Wood Lane, but no.. How about Latimer Road or Ladbroke Grove? I don't actually see the benefits this has. Okay yes there will be double the amount of services between Edgware Road and Hammersmith. But I don't really think that is necessary. There will be an increase in trains using Praed Street Junction and there has been no progress of the Wimbledon - Edgware Road services terminating short at High Street Kensington at off peak times. Will cutting the Circle between Edgware Road and Baker Street really help? I just dont see the benefits here. Could someone explain all of this please Thanks Uzair

Hi all Apparently the A Stock seats are the most comfortable seats out of all the Sub Surface fleet. Now since the new S Stock trains will be covering the whole Sub Surface lines, are there any plans to make the Metropolitan ones a bit more comfortable because of the long distance journey? Or will they all be exactly the same and long distance journeys will not be as appealing to customers anymore? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks Uzair

Hi all, Apparently Poplar is already long enough to accommodate 3 car trains. But I was there today and it really did not look like it was long enough. This is the same as Canary Wharf. Is it me or are they already long enough?? Thanks Uzair

Hi all, I was reading the future proposals section on the CULG website. In the Victoria Line bit there, it says:''The track arrangement at Brixton is one of the bottlenecks in operating the line'' My question is that how is Brixton a bottleneck when it has a crossover. And also, how come Walthamstow Central has the same layout and is not listed there. Is Walthamstow not a bottleneck?
Also, is says this in the same section: ''and there is a proposal to extend it in a large single-track loop to a new station at Herne Hill.'' Does anyone have anymore information on this?
Thanks Uzair

Hey guys. Last year for my birthday I got an old LU map. It's from when the Met used to run to Great Missenden and the District used to go to Hounslow West. On the map it shows the District used to go from Acton Town to South Acton. I wanted to know if there is still a link between the two station. Or is it used by London Overground? Thanks Uzair
