Hi all,
Does anyone have any idea of what the format of the announcements on London Overground trains will be when the new Class 378 trains are delivered?
For example on the East London Line route, would it be something like this:
This is Shadwell. Change here for the DLR. This is a London Overground train/service to Dalston Junction???
Thanks in advance

Yes I was thinking that on my way to Gatwick Airport on Friday morning. "Hmmm, they should have made the announcements 'The next station is Tower Hill. Change for the Circle Line via Liverpool Street and King's Cross St Pancras...' " But maybe they didn't because they have the 'via Lvpl St and KXSP' for the Hammersmith & City Line at Aldgate East.

The Victoria Line is having minor delays due to a faulty track at Victoria. What track is actually affected? Accoring to the Departure Boards on the TfL website, a couple of trains from Walthamstow are being turned back early at Victoria. So are they usin the crossover north of the station or the sidings? Are any trains terminating at Warren Street or anywhere else?

Not even a minute lol! More like 30 seconds! It is pretty ridiculous. We'll just have to wait and see

In reply to pritipal's question, Some D stock trains now play the announcement 'The next station is Tower Hill. Change for the DLR from Tower Gateway and National Rail services from Fenchurch Street...'
So it is now: 'The next station is Tower Hill. Change for National Rail services from Fenchurch Street.'

Will the track layout change between Shadwell and Tower Gateway? Presumably it will stay the same because there will only be one track at Tower Gatway.

Hi all, I have noticed that in a lot of D Stock trains, some end of car windows are longer than others and others are quite short. There seems to be no standard size. What is the reason for this?
Thanks, Uzair

Hi all, Why did Shadwell station get extended before all the other stations that have to be extended? It's already finished now!
Thanks, Uzair

Yeah I passed the Triangle Sidings at 3:08 between Earl's Court and Gloucester Road and saw a C Stock train.

I was on a District Line train at Putney Bridge like 3 days ago. We were there for a few minutes and an announcement came up saying: 'Laides and Gentlemen, we are being held at a red signal and we should be moving shortly' Only heard that once before!

Here is a link to the video Alight must have been talking about. Near the end it has: 'Passengers for Canning Town, West Ham and Stratford, should change here and wait on this platform'

I was on a Victoria Line train a few days ago and before coming in to Highbury, an announcement said "The next station, is Highbry & Islington. Change here for the Piccadilly Line and National Rail services. This station has step free acces"
Step free access announcement!

Is there really a crossover north of Highbury? It is not shown on the Victoria Line track map on The London Tube website

Yay I got it right. I thought it was Southfields when I first saw the picture since it is my nearest station. But then I was thinking, "is that really the ceiling colour?:
