The impression I got from the steward in the car I was in (1) is that it wasn't a 'full' sell out as they didn't sell all the seats for the comfort of passengers...
eg. in the traverse seating section (which would seat 4) only two seats were sold.

I thought you were allowed to take pictures barring no flash photography and no tripods... although, I would argue that if a member of staff is telling you to leave, and you refuse then they are probably well within their rights to get the police involved.

To one extent, that makes sense - reduce the tunnel temps before the hot summer period - however, has the regenerative breaking been tested on the trains on the line before?

I'd just like to echo some of hte comments in this thread, and think the team behind the tour should be praised.
I should also apologise to the car two steward, who I was a bit narked at this morning when I couldn't work out the end of the train I was meant to be at with the unhelpful messages.

I have to say I've suffered the effect of so many people getting off the train, that passengers waiting to board couldn't actually get on - usually at Wembley Park around 6PM waiting on an Uxbridge Service.

Yeah, it's a reasonable game... although there are 'issues' with it due to the there being no proper API to oyster, so they need your oyster username and password to play etc.

Just passed a 3 car train 776, just after Acton Town. It came through Acton Platform 3, and was heading back towards Acton when my pic departed...
Any idea what the train was for, was doing and what sort of stock it was? I didn't get a picture unfortunately as travelling for work.
Related to 92ts at South Ealing Test Track?

the travelling public had the perfect design, so perfect it could be called boring at times',that in many ways adds to the A60's achievement of fifty years of doing the task successfully from a to b without a hitch and complaint. As a member of the travelling public.... I have to say I disagree with your statement - in no way is the A-Stock design perfect. Granted, I wouldn't even say the S-Stock design was perfect, but they do seem to be a lot more roomier and more "open plan" and I definitely prefer them to the A-Stock.

Anyone got any local knowledge of Uxbridge as to where toilets are located near the station? There's toilets in both shopping centes within 2 mins walk of the station, loads of Cafe's, McDonalds, Subway etc. all within walking distance of the station and with more than enough time during a 75 minute layover. Edit to add: If there are any members unfamiliar with Seven Sisters national rail station who will need to use it to get home at the end of the tour, simply follow me How will we know who you are

The interesting thing is that the 75 min layover in Uxbridge is a contradiciton (to me at least) of the comment of this being a full day trip with limited comfort breaks being available...

I've seen it happen on buses more-so than on trains, to be honest... but I can't see why it wouldn't be a possibility. Would also mean that we couldn't moan about the blinds being different at Front and Back

I assume the 09ts has been built with the new signalling in mind, rather than having it 'retro-fitted' like the '96ts on the Jub, so from that point of view, I'd have thought it would be more reliable?

If you were between Amersham and Chalfont, then it's possible that the driver changed his destination blind on departure from Chalftont as the next station is Amersham - and noone is going to be using the departure blind after that point to work out where the train is going North.
When it arrives at Amersham, it's next destination is going to be Harrow, so it makes sense to do it then I'd have said.

I thought there was a delivery recently, as it got held up at Princes Risborough / Thame branch. That could have been PP1/2 coming back as an S7 though.
I think they're cleared for Passenger Service, but still not seen one going there myself yet.
