Well I've never been to Borough station, but I might see if I can get anywhere with this little poser - I'm curious as to whether this is a unique thing combine wide, or specifically a Northern line job?
Assuming you can answer that without giving too much away tubeboy?

As a Northern line quiz, it is unique to the Northern line.

It definitely had all the section 12 stuff when I worked there 9 years ago. The dome mentioned earlier is now unique to Kennington. Tubeboy, you have a PM. I'm probably completely wrong with my guess, but I think its a unique feature. I can't post it here as I was on the tour.

Answer has still not been given.
Your going in the right direction though.
Once again read all the clues, I am looking for a piece of station equipment which is standard, although not essential, it does make life a lot easier.
Work together, once you pin the area of the station down, the answer wont be far behind.

Does the station have two exits, or a stairway on either side of the exit that goes into the middle?
Or a crowd control gate/barrier on the platforms like the new ones at Arsenal?

No UD!
Right, I want this solved now!
The piece of equipment, think in terms of the public.
Dont forget, Borough DOES NOT have this equipment.

Guys, I dont know how easier I can make this!
Your a customer, what is the equipment you would use before stepping on a train? What makes Borough unique in this case?
Is a shop and staff, stn equipment?
