You should get on it, just not in the leading car. I expect there will be quite a scrum at Ealing depending on what platform it is put in.
The train is running near enough bang on time and there are no reported issues on the network.

I was out this morning, as planned. Was surprised to see quite so many people taking photos at just about every station the train passed through. Reminded me of the steam train events a few years ago.
The tweet above was constrained by 140 characters, so to fit my message in I had to leave out the word 'stock'.
------------------------------------------------
Any other day I would have alighted from the eastbound train at Plaistow, as there was an S stock train in bay platform and getting a photo of this is still on my 'to do' list.

Thanks for the updates everyone. I am currently at Victoria waiting for the D. I was starting to wonder why I am still seeing S stock galore. I shall wait patiently.

Got on at Mansion House, (front car!) and grabbed a seat (sideways, but I'd forgotten how well upholstered) they are) at Victoria.
Now approaching my old stamping ground at Turnham Green- but that was in the days of R stock!

Had to bow out at Tower Hill WB as I have other plans later. Nearly shed a tear as the D pulled away. They aren't a classic, but they were the trains that started off many a day out when I was young, and of course the weekly Friday evening trip to my grandparents.
Farewell D stock, my old friend.

Nice to see the Central Line joining in the fun with a simultaneous departure from Ealing Broadway.

My understanding is that's true in the main... but Met has 8 cars and different seating. Circle, District and Hammersmith and Coty are all the same 7 car trains.

I saw the train at the platform at South Ken but missed it. I tried to catch up with it on a Piccadilly Line but was 1 minute behind it I reckon! I got off the train at Ealing common in hope I missed it when looking out of the window, but listening to people on the platform, I knew I had missed it. I was in two minds whether to wait to watch it go into the depot, but decided to go home on the Uxbridge train.
I will hopefully see it again soon when it is transformed into a RAT (Rail Adhesion Train)!
I look forward to seeing some more pictures too.

Thought I had missed T004 whe I got to St James Park, so travelled by S stock to Earls Court to change to Wimbledon branch and home, but a timely announcement from the lady on the platforms meant I had the opportunity to hang on for two minutes to ride for one stop off my route. Earlier delay was obviously to pick up the extra dozen or so t/ops I noticed in the cab...!
