I think its probably ok to say now as it's all over the internet....
The plan is train 4, which does:
0617 ex UPM depot UPM 0624 - RMD 0752 RMD 0806 - UPM 0945 UPM 0953 - RMD 1122 RMD 1134 - UPM 1302 UPM 1313 - RMD 1442 RMD 1454 - UPM 1623 UPM 1635 - EBY 1812 then empty to Ealing Common depot
However this may not happen in reality!!
Do keep in mind that the depots have failed to do as requested many times over already. This plan also relies on a D stock being at Upminster on the evening of Thursday 20th and indeed that D stock being fit for passenger service.

Hopefully it will be Train 004, since I will have to take a pre-booked taxi there - the start time for the Victoria line will not get me there on time.

This has come around rather quickly. So the plan still seems to be train 4.
Can we use this thread to post pictures, members' whereabouts on the day and general comments / observations. For all those who are going to be around, let's make it a good send off for the D's.
Can we also ask members to behave responsibly and respect the rules of the railway. We don't want to jeopardise any future events. Enjoy!

I am planning to try to ride it, ideally on the journey which arrives at Upminster at 13:02, somewhere to the east of London.
Part of the issue for me will be avoiding the Oyster PAYG journey time limit - there was a time when I would have bought a 2-6 ODTC and not even thought of the cost but alas such no longer exist and the ride-at-will replacement is just too expensive.
btw, I travelled on the first train, on its first day, albeit not the first journey. So it would be fitting to travel on the last train too!

Will the train have a special 'farewell' headboard?

Being a Hornchurch resident, I'm hoping to be at Upminster when it comes out of the depot in the morning. Then I'll rejoin later in the day for the farewell. Look forward to seeing people there!

I will be there. I think when a District stock is withdrawn from service it is always a special time especially as our founder spent so much time in its cab!

I should be there for most of the day, though not the first couple of trips in the morning.

I'll be around, although not from the very start. I'll be picking it up somewhere around West Ham-Mile End most likely, depending on timing.

So it could be interesting to see if that train changes destination or number during today. So glad I came out early.

I wouldn't be surprised, we've just been used as protection to retrieve an item from the track at West Kensington too

The timetable is so late now at first glance. It seems that they are just going to deal with the offset for now. T004 will have left Upminster by now.

The timetable is so late now at first glance. It seems that they are just going to deal with the offset for now. T004 will have left Upminster by now. It's running about 8 minutes behind train 5. There have been some reforms and short trips, but T4 is being left to its own devices!
