Currently at work so having some difficulty in working out what time to leave to catch the train and where. Is it currently running on time so that it can leave Upminster on time at 1635?

It was on time at West Ham. I needed to touch out and in so I'm hoping to pick it up again at Westminster westbound. In theory I should have ~8 minutes to interchange. Fingers crossed!

#CatchTheD is being used on Twitter to keep up with it, however it seems alternate modes of transport are trying to get in on the action too: If only it were the last run of the dangleway instead!

I think you're the wrong end of the line.
It's hopefully en route to Richmond 😜

Sad I'm not going to make this but that's how it goes sometimes. I was on the last unrefurbished D and I'll be on the tour, so hopefully that makes up for it. I'm counting on Chris M to take some good photos of today's events, and hoping the behaviour shown by a certain percentage of enthusiasts on C stock tour and the last A stock won't be repeated today.

Let's hope it makes it all the way to Richmond this time!

The behaviour I've seen so far today has been nothing to complain about.

Sadly I've ran out of gas, but I got the images I wanted as well as uncovering some gems at the Friends market. I should have bought one of those combat rations with me, although I wouldn't be able to reheat them on board.

Afternoon all - managed to take a quick trip during lunch between Embankment and Monument. Hoping to catch the last one just after work. Currently at Holborn but will get central to Mile End as I imagine that's my best chance of actually getting on.
As per schedule it seems as though it'll be departing Mile End somewhere around 17:10 - am I being too optimistic in trying to board the front car at that time/place? Thanks for those keeping this thread updated, helped me out at lunch!
Steve.

The front car is rammed solid and not especially peasant. The rear car is slightly busier the rest of the train seems normal. Departing Whitechapel currently

I was going to hop out and join you for a bit (am in City a present), but work stopped play. Guess I will have to hop on the last Westbound (no doubt there will be some pretty confused normal punters on there too given the timing). please do let u know of any delays!

Remember when D stock was introduced, the only set number in the WTT was T46 for D stock working, was waiting at Turnham Green for it,imagine my disappointment when a R stock turned up!

I'm in the rear car and it has gradually been getting more and more packed. At Upton Park now. Thanks for the warning about what is currently the front being even busier!
Edit: Much quieter now after East Ham!

Something's not quite right, as there's an H&C to Wimbledon (!) just left Plaistow according to the Oracle traintimes.org.uk/map/tube/Does this mean things are going awry on the westbound?

Sadly it didn't quite make it far enough west (by about 3500 miles☹️) for me to take a last ride on it. Sounds like it's getting a good send off and I'm looking forward to seeing some photos of the event.

In the first car approaching Dagenham East and it's a little noisy but not rammed and not uncivilized

I'm semi considering being stupid and heading down to grab it for the final part of the journey, or at least being at Ealing B/Way at the end, but sounds like there's no chance of being on it
