So my contact at TfL sent me jpg's of the new Pocket and poster maps. How do I post an image on this thread?

I tried it and it didn't work so I just uploaded them to my flickr page. I also uploaded the Night Tube maps that were produced if the service were to have started running back in Sept 2015, which are now prototypes I guess. Link below: www.flickr.com/photos/94509615@N03/ |

I've just returned from my first night tube experience, Canary Wharf to Westminster and back. I got to Canary Wharf about 02:15 and was one of three people waiting for the on-time, clean westbound train. An eastbound train arrived as I was waiting and about 1-2 dozen people got off.
Travelling westbound there was a light load, 2-3 people per carriage on average gradually picking up from London Bridge onwards as you'd expect in the late evening normally. A visibly upset young woman got on at London Bridge accompanied by two police officers but whether her trouble was night tube related I don't know, the officers were relaxed though so it didn't seem anything to worry about.
At Westminster I was the only person to alight from the train, there were far more staff and cleaners about than passengers - obviously not a bustling Friday night destination. Getting back down to the westbound platform at about 02:40 there were about 1-2 people waiting to board each carriage. A, presumably manual, announcement was being made about the Jubilee running a night tube service but there being no SSR trains, but this was cut off partway though. After a long couple of moments silence there was a call for a cleaner to make their way to control room - did the person on duty perhaps just spill their coffee? The silence was certainly of the right duration for an "Oh s..." moment!
When train arrived about 3 minutes after I got to the platform it was also clean and on time and the driver clearly spoken. It was busier than westbound with people on most blocks of seating, but plenty free - about what I'd expect from a late night train during the week. A good 2-3 dozen people got off at Canary Wharf, again what I'd expect from a train in the late evening normally.

There were some of the new pocket Night Tube maps that include the Jubilee line at High Street Kensington station this afternoon.

And there's a rumour it will reach the Picc on 16th December. Don't quote me! Well on past form of a new line added every 4-5 weeks that would make sense. It is perilously close to Christmas though which I find a real surprise. It'll work one weekend and then the following one it'll only apply on 23 Dec as I assume Tubes all finish around midnight on Sat 24th Dec. I guess the Mayor may well announce the Picc starting when he's out smiling about the Northern Line night service starting. |

for dec 24 - i think they finish at earlier time not sure if TFL will say night tube will have a break for xams day but on works calendar showed that 25 dec is closed all day so means night tube would not be run on 24th dec

When I'm next in (Friday) I will look on the Intranet to see if the new WTT is on there along with the duty books. I will also see how many are still undergoing training. It may be that there will just be not many spares about. I don't suppose the business will allow annual leave now until we have sufficient numbers. |

I don't suppose the business will allow annual leave now until we have sufficient numbers. duty books obviously you not used to underground working yet they normally appear after timetable been brought in duties need to be published by Sunday assuming they doing skeleton running the weekend before as need 28 days notice and union rejected last drafts ... it will be a 10 minute service as only need 33 to run it assuming no one on leave training or sick last i heard 23 passed out and 6 full time will be going over to night tube |
