Is there a set date for when all Met T/Ops are supposed to have finished stock training, and in that case when?

Hopefully by the time the last A-stock leaves us ;D
To be honest I don't know the dates, but what I do know is that it was meant to be a little more advanced than it is. There are numerous reasons why the program has slipped, including the weather.
The problem is, we need drivers driving trains, so it's sometimes easier said than done to lose a few of them for stock training. The planned cancellations will go some way to releasing a driver or two, but if something else comes up, then they will be used to keep the rest of the service running.
We're by no means at panic stations with this. The S-stock is out and about, and drivers are getting trained. Just at this present moment in time the paths we use are limited.

I've spotted crew in the trailing cab (of S stocks) a few times. Does this have anything to do with training?
Happy New Year!

Since the new WTT they run to Watford, Amersham and Uxbridge, to Baker Street. I would assume they would be utilised more on the slow services for their far better acceleration.

Since Dec 12th they have been able to operate anywhere north of Baker Street The current booked MF utilisation is based entirely on the 3 diagrams that don't operate between Baker St and Aldgate Any greater utilisation on slow services over fast is purely coincidental

I've been looking at this live tracking map and while the majority of train set numbers are 4_ _ some are 000-_. Are these S-Stock trains?

All met trains have a '4' prefix, the 000 trains are ones that the trackernet system isn't entirely sure about

On Wednesday trains 441 (21009+21010) & train 451 (21003+21004) were S stock worked. Are there any other trains which S stock can work at the moment?

There are lots of diagrams that S stock can work I would imagine except the off peak 420-427,430-435 as they run to Aldgate. Remember there are extra test paths built in that run to Amersham, Watford and Uxbridge.
As Watford-Baker is a simple route, you often will find S8s on this route.

Is there a planned date for when S8 trains will go through to Aldgate?

Taking aside the fact (as stated by Met Control) there are planned cancellations at the moment, on the Monday to Friday there are only 3 diagrams that can be operated by 'S' stock, 'without' reforming at various points throughout the day they are as Marks has stated, 441 and 451, the 3rd is a split turn across the interpeak, 46x in the am and a different 46x in the pm (462 and 465 off the top of my head - but don't quote me!) they could of course appear on any other train north of Baker St, but the diagrams I mentioned above are the ones currently booked to be 'S' stock, otherwise you would have to pull trains in/out and reform at some point to take them off an Aldgate leg on top of that there are the 2 test paths, 401 to Amersham, 402 to Watford there is no booked test path on the uxbridge branch at present on the weekends the door is opened slightly wider as 19 out of 33 diagrams (non 420-435) don't go into the city whatever does operate on weekends will however be bound by duty sheets that are linked to 'S' stock qualified drivers (as the 3 MF diagrams all are)

21009 and 21013 were in service today (I didn't know that 21013 had entered service).
21013 departs Preston Road:
21013 arrives at Moor Park:
Both of them depart Northwood:

Got a recent video if anyone's interested. Could someone enlighten me to the slow speed of the train?

T451 was indeed operated by A-stock all day. This was as a result of the damage caused to one train earlier yesterday morning (reported elsewhere - the loss of most traction current shoes due to striking an obstruction).

Which train was the one involved in the incident yesterday morning?

As for the ride and other things, it was an interesting back-to-back comparison of the bumpy tunnel section on 'A' and then 'S', as it lets you judge how much of that clunking around (which I am used to after 20+ years) is due to the track rather then the train. I must say whilst I found the S a far smoother ride, it was still bumpier than I'd expected through there. That tunnel ride from Baker Street to Finchley Road on an A Stock is the best thing ever.

... That tunnel ride from Baker Street to Finchley Road on an A Stock is the best thing ever. Why? The view sucks compared with the rest of the line to the north! (Although I suppose a microbiolositst may find some fascinating hitherto undiscovered life forms growing on the tunnel walls there! ;D )
