When the ELL was closed between 1995 and 1998, a replacement bus done the honours. According to the Middleton Press book "The East London Line"they used Mercedes midibuses which could run through the Rotherhithe tunnel.

A looks like one of the Bakerloo/LO stations North of Queens Park.
C is either Colindale or Burnt Oak.

Only a section of platform wall about 1 or 2 cars long is repainted, not the whole platform.

Am I the only one finding the green and red in/out arrows and crosses increasingly difficult to read? I don't think I've ever seen a POD replaced or tinkered with. Ever. Only gates being put in or ripped out. The POD once in a blue moon gets serviced/cleaned, have seen it a few times. Clearly your too busy working to notice the tech doing it.

Yes John was good, mind you he is an ex Northern line man! ;D
Ahh, so how did you get in if you werent staff?.....gatecrash?
I noticed when I first went in, and they had to mark me off their list, my grade on the sheet was service controller! I work in a station control room, not a line based one!
Twas a good day.

I saw the sign in the lifts, it said a maximum of 45 people could be conveyed. Even by modern standards, thats a huge number, they are big lifts! Trapezium shaped too.

No cups, but we did have Abbey Well bottled Water! ;D
The biscuits were good, pulled all the stops out there. ;D
The 72ts unit was in the platform, it seemed noisy even when we nowhere near the platform. No machinery noise from former equipment rooms, and no lifts of course, so it seemed eerily quiet.

Thanks for that, were you the bloke in the tweed jacket?
I was wearing the long sleeved grey t shirt, people really stuck with their guest, they didnt intermingle at all. Lots of females too turned up, which was was pleasantly surprising.
The biscuits/sweets/free goodies was good!
The goodies were LU film office stuff, keyrings, reflective cycle strip, postcards, and a bag.

There are no tickets, one guest is being admitted for every staff member on production of their staff pass.

B does look like Neasden I agree.
A looks odd, is that an access point where track equipment is dropped/lowered onto the track?

I dont see the problem of "Euston via Bank", I find it easy to understand, the platform indicators sometimes say "Euston not stopping at Mornington Crescent".

As is fairly well known, Northern line trains on the S/B City branch cut out the last set of doors at Euston.
What happens to the N/B terminators? Do they cut out the last set of doors? I know the stopping board at the tailwall [headwall for the N/B terminators] is roughly in the space where the last set of doors on a S/B train does be? Why the anomaly, if at all?
Thanks in advance.

It goes Camden, onto the Bank branch, down to Euston, gets the shunt signal, onto the siding, round the loop, then back onto the N/B line.
Havent cabbed it.......yet! ;D

The latest news is that the Victoria line is going to be filmed early in the new year. As its all underground, it can be filmed in Winter. It wont just be a DEV, it will look at the ATO/depot and other bits and bobs.
Whilst this is a good move, it means the a re-shot Central line is even further away.

Err, being serious ;D
It sounds like the shoe paddle, which in conjunction with shoe straps are used to lift a faulty collector shoe and secure it safely till it gets back to the depot.
Wouldnt the paddle be in the emergency equipment cupboard, and not leaning against the window?

Laura, I was just having a giggle, no harm meant.
Try the tfl website or their helpdesk on 0207 222 1234.
The mainline train seems the best option, as you dont like the buses. Streetmap will show you the route from Stockwell-Brixton by road.
Welcome to the forum.
