Once all the D stock has gone Edgware Road services could start from Ealing or Richmond this would help free up conflicting moves at Earls Court i.e. train leaves Ealing Bdy travels to Edgware road (via plat 1 at Earls Court) return trip to Wimbledon (via Plat 4) on its journey back from Wimbledon it is a Tower Hill train (via Plat 2) it then could return towards Ealing/Richmond, And repeat..... This would mean that there is far fewer conflicting train movements and thus increase throughput.

I must to not understanding how ApplePay works; I hadn't realised the variety of cards that could be registered, which then necessitates being able to switch between which card is simulated. The omission seems to be the inability for the device to retain memory of whichever card it's pretending to be when the battery dies. If the device is simply a reference number, then why can't it still be interrogated to yield that number when turned off? Oyster/Contactless manage it! As a user of Apple Pay on NR my iPhone has 3 cards loaded into the app it will use 1 particular card as the default if I require to use another card I have to select it

Another reason why escalator replacement / maintainable takes so long is that each escalator is bespoke it is not 1 size fits all and parts have to be specifically ordered. Work is done on some escalator upgrades during operating hours but not if any parts have to be brought to site (engineering hours only for that).the escalator has to be thoroughly tested as well to ensure it will operate as trouble free as possible.

Train numbers exclude '8' and '9' (since the 1960s) Current District series: 1-56 (excluding '8' and '9')=46; 60-67 =8; 101-107 =7, 121-126 =6 (+115 117 late evening =2) =69 70-77 =8 (Wim-ERd) Thankyou - so the list given by Superteacher includes the eight Wim-ERd duties 70-77. That leaves 19 S stock duties on the "main" on the day superteacher reported, out of 67 (not counting the two late-evening turns) which is just over one in four. (Is there a particular reason why there is no Number 57, 100 or 120, or why the 11x series is under-used?) A couple of additions as DStock7080 is an early person who never sees 110 (Mon Fri PM only) and 113 114 Weekend Olympia-HSK there are also 2 weekend football trains that can run if required 141 142 (west end) 121 122 (East end)

I dunno what's occurring, but thanks to angelislington I now have the "Putney Station" song in my head! A dead S7 at Wimbledon needing assistance from at least 1 other S7 train was OOS long before I started today and was powered down in platform 3

The TfL website is currently showing: I, uh, thought reversing facilities had already been removed at Putney Bridge? Trains can reverse West to East at Putney Bridge using the limit of shunt on the bridge

There have been numerous times where I have come from Heathrow on the Picc and soon as my train enters the platform, a District line train pulls out. That means I have to wait 12 minutes for another train. This is very inconvenient for me because I am often in a rush to get to places. Not only that for example, tourists coming from Heathrow will often find this also very irritating. This happens 7 days a week. What really annoyed me earlier was that I was coming off a British Rail train from Twyford to Ealing Broadway and I saw that a District line S7 pulling out so I asked the station assistant when the next District line train is and he replied "20 mins". So I just got on the Central line. I know this was on a Sunday but still it is annoying. I am starting to get very fed up with this and so do others! The frequency should be increased! when engineering work is taking place all trains are affected

I think it was stabled on 17 Ealing which is normally used for stabling 3 car unit when reforming D stock formations. If it was stabled anywhere else it would impact with stabling of District trains also it is easy to exit and restable after grinding rails.

Mine has an expiry date. Whenever I use it on the bus it says it will expire in 2063. Must be a staff pass. Their encoding is different to a public ticket or PAYG as a "pass" is a different type in the system. I think an encoded end date is mandatory for the ticket type. (happpy to be corrected). Staff oyster and nominee expire 17/09/69
