Would the connection between the four locations be that they have a NR terminal adjoining/connected to the underground stations and the insets in each are places you can get to by mainline train from the four termini

Answer: Location B: Victoria - passage from eastbound SSL to Victoria Line [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Inset B: Brighton - Volks Electric Railway Black Rock station [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location C: Charing Cross - totem viewed from exit 9 [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Inset D: Liverpool - St George's Hall gardens in 2006 [Chris M] Link: These are all LU stations serving a mainline terminus. The insets are places that are served by trains from that London station Clues: Location A: (click for a larger version) Inset A: (click for a larger version) Location D: (click for a larger version) I'm having a little trouble with links too insets C and D, hopefully be fixed soon.

Just adding another one. The A-Inset is Swansea, so that means that A is Paddington?

And logic suggests Euston for D if Liverpool is in the inset - I'll go back to work now!

Inset A is Swansea Marina, which does make station A Paddington, Inset C is Hastings Castle and pgb's logic is correct and D is Euston.
