It's running in the path of Train 75 but the train number appearing on the train says 753.

There were delays on the Circle line around 6pm. I was at High Street Kensington waiting for T71 to go to Wimbledon and it was quite late. There was also a C Stock in the Triangle Sidings.

T71 is S Stock today as aspect said. Travelled from Southfields to Earl's Court this morning and it seemed as if no one noticed or cared! Pictures and videos to follow later today.

Heathrow won't close and it won't be downgraded, there are too many jobs that depend on it. Apart from those that actually work there you also have the businesses that depend on it and those that have located near to it simply because it is London's main airport, we talking well in excess of 100k, possibly closer to 200k. The first thing the commission will recommend is using the other airports to full capacity, I think I read that Gatwick is at 80% while Stansted and Luton are only around 50%. Rail-links to those airports will be improved and eventually an extra runway will be added an either Gatwick or Stansted or possibly both. Heathrow will remain the main airport but it will have to farm out some of its less lucrative flights if it wants to get other in. Strongly agreed.

If it was disconnected from the main line what was the point of it being removed?

The Dot Matrix Indicators are still working on the Northern line platforms too! They're also redoing the northbound platform surface of the Northern line.

Regular commuters from the west of the line will know what I'm on about. On the eastbound just before London Bridge, and just after leaving London Bridge, what on earth causes the dreadful, horrendous and abhorrent noise, the sort of really loud moaning one? It must be the track, that I'm sure of, but what is it about the track is the area that causes the noise!?

I must add that some also work out of LU's 'super depot' Neasden (as shown in January's edition of Rail Express). The article also states that the depot is responsible for overhauling the full 191 strong S7/S8 fleet, the first overhaul being due in 2016. 2016? Already? Seems alright for the S8 but way too soon for the S7.

Heathrow Express have 4 and 5 car trains. I assume the cars are 200m in length? Whenever I use HEx the trains are either 4, 5 or 8 cars long. I've never seen a 10 car train in service, perhaps someone else on here has.

Aren't they running it in addition to the existing service, which, If I'm correct, will make it 4tph crossrail 4tph heathrow express 4tph heathrow connect 16tph through heathrow central Firstly, 4+4+4 gives 12 . Secondly, no, I'm fairly certain that Crossrail will not supplement the existing service. It will replace Heathrow Connect services. That would give 4tph HEx + 4tph Crossrail giving 8tph between Heathrow Central & Paddington. Isn't that what it is right now? As someone mentioned, HEx may not survive post Crossrail, however personally I'd love to see it keep running.

Wonder how easy it would be to add a line repeating the destination after this announcement, presuming it isn't already there... i.e. "Please note, the destination of this train has changed. This is a *Semi-Fast* *Metropolitan line* service to *Aldgate*. Please listen for further announcements." (would include "now" but the word might have not been recorded, and the wording of the middle sentence is the same as an existing announcement so could be easier to program in! It does say that!

How are trains reversing WB-EB at Highbury & Islington? Using the crossover just west of Canonbury to enter platform 8 at H&I?

Agree with Chris M. The train does not look aesthetically pleasing. Side view looks really bad.

Are there anymore details on what happened exactly at KX? Did the train fail in the station, if so, which platform? Would be interesting to see what was done to try and get the faulty train away from the main section of the line.

i think the best thing to do in any situation now would be to just have a nice quiet chat with the supervisor and just let them know your intention would be to be there for say 5/10 minutes to take a few pictures do they mind. if they say yes thank them for there time and try else where at the end of the day the supervisor is in charge of the station during there shift so staff and customers must abide by there rules So TfL say one thing, LUL says another, and the Station Supervisor say something else?

I replied to the first email with this attachment.. Second reply from TfL: Date: 07.10.2013 Dear Mr Siddiqi, Thank you for replying to me on 4 October regarding photography at Underground stations. I do empathise with your position as highlighted in the document you attached. I do continue to recommend that you notify the station supervisor as a matter of courtesy but there is no obligation on your part to do so. I do believe it might help avoid a repeat of the situation you faced at Parsons Green in future. Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us. Please contact me again if you need any further assistance, or if you would prefer to talk to us about this matter, please call us on 0343 222 1234. They are employed by TFL therefore they must follow the rules giving to them and they must ensure the safety and security of the station they manage. LUL or TfL..?

Reply from TfL: Dear Mr Siddiqi,
Thank you for your email regarding an incident at Parsons Green as you were trying to take a photograph.
You are correct that London Underground (LU) is part of TfL but staff at the station are governed by LU regulations which states clearly that you do need a permit for flash photography. I understand that you did not use a flash and that you was only there for 2 minutes but the Station Supervisor (SS) will act according to what he sees. I apologise if you felt embarrassed on this occasion but having a word with the SS prior to any pictures been taken will help prevent any embarrassment in future.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Please contact me again if you need any further assistance, or if you would prefer to talk to us about this matter, please call us on 0343 222 1234.

I can't find the exemption for photography by those "passing through" on the TfL website - perhaps it has been removed. Common sense obviously needs to apply - I didn't see anyone enforcing a "no photos without permits" rule during Steam on the Underground. I can't find this either. Luckily I did print it out ages ago.
