It came out of the depot as T250 at 16.54, then I nearly had to fail it in service on it's first trip north from Brixton at 17.37 because part of the casing around the electrial gear in the cab fell off! Not good for a brand new train. lol

So why did it get changed to 215 then? How does that work? If it went down to Brixton out of timetable order, it would have been re-formed to put the sets back into order, T215 would have become T250.

Yes, T215 should have got to Brixton at 18.50 and T250 at 18.52, but T215 was slightly late leaving Walthamstow, so T250 was let out of Seven Sisters siding in front of it.

It was its first time in service. Which train are they up to now in the production line? Train 34 has been tested, Train 33 will be in London by mid next week. 35 should be about ready for test and 36 will be on the line.

Am I right in assuming that today was T32's first day in service? I wasn't expecting it to enter service so soon [given that T31 had only just done so earlier this week]...?

They wont be back in London, they will be mostly new trains. Not sure yet what will happen with the numbers though - whether they will be 11001-11004 or 11095-11098.

My first 09 experience at the weekend, and I have to say that I was very impressed. The forced air system worked just nicely, I didn't think the windows were an issue in the slightest, the seating was comfy, and I loved the acceleration and the close running of the trains.
As with all the trains and refits/new fleets, those poxy announcements absolutely do my noggin in, and for the most part, an utter waste of time as they can't be heard in tunnel sections on any line, so given the Vic's exposure to the surface....
The driver did make an amusing statement which I can't repeat here, but was hilarious all the same, and if I mis-heard it, wouldn't make any sense at all.

Been the best part of three weeks now since the last 09 stock entered service. Is there a reason for the delay?

Saturday 23 April is reported as being the first day of all 2009 Tube Stock on the Victoria Line. Whether this was the case all day, I know not.
