Well Belfast-Derry should be out next week. The Thumper trip has been filmed. Eurostar is delayed due to industial action in Belgium, and C2C are getting funny about Shoeburyness-Fenchurch St.

Yup, can't wait for MarshLink to come out... Would you recommend the Belfast - Derry DVD when it comes out? Well I havent seen it, and know nothing of the line, so have no opinion. There is a bonus, a trip on the Portrush branch with a Thumper, not the 205/207s! ;D

Latest!
Belfast-Derry will be available from 9th September [direct from V125] a couple of days later it will be available from usual places, Ian Allan, Motor Books etc.
The trip from Brighton-Ashford has been filmed, related filming is being carried out.
Eurostar is now being filmed, and when released will be in DVD and Blu ray formats. Blu ray is high definition.

All of their new films are being filmed in High defintion [Belfast-Derry was the first] but they are being released in standard defintion [Archiving for the future]. V125 feel there isnt much of a market out their yet for High defintion railway DVDs [Eurostar being the exception]

I have seen Belfast-Derry, it is recommendable. Only annoying thing is that once out of Belfast there are foot/level crossings every 500m or thereabouts, so the constant tooting of the horn gets a bit much.
Well, due to the Chunnel fire, Eurostar is delayed until next summer.
The Marshlink DVD [Brighton-Ashford] will be released in November. It will contain two bonuses, a DEV of the Seaford branch, and a speeded up version of London-Brighton.

I have just been on the V125 forum. Due to the Chunnel fire, and the Eurostar production being delayed, V125 are going to look at filming the Victoria line. Due to it being underground, apart from NPK depot, it can be filmed in Winter. Looks like an updated Central wont be out till the end of next year at the earliest.

The latest news is that the Victoria line is going to be filmed early in the new year. As its all underground, it can be filmed in Winter. It wont just be a DEV, it will look at the ATO/depot and other bits and bobs.
Whilst this is a good move, it means the a re-shot Central line is even further away.

Hi all, I've just had a look at the 'News' page on the Video 125 site...looks as if the Victoria line DEV (and a documentary of some repute) is being filmed now, and should be ready by Easter 2009...well that'll beat a chocolate egg for me next year...good - it'll keep the weight off me! Predicted quote from the DEV voiceover: "Incidentally, the Victoria line was the world's first full-scale automatic railway..." ! Regards, Mike.

Awesome! Any of the Vic line drivers know anything about this? Anybody know how they come to choose which drivers get to press the door opening button drive the trains featured?

Usually this sort of thing is done with Instructor Operators.

Just had a read of the V125 forum, the Vic DEV will be from Walthamstow-Brixton, personally I would have preferred the N/B, oh well!
It will feature a DEV from Seven Sisters into Northumberland Park depot too.
There will also be a feature on the 2009ts as well, and also archive items. Release is planned for Easter, nice birthday present. ;D

I could get a discount, but I have all their titles, so I would have to wait until further new titles come out, which wont be till the summer....and I cant wait that long.

I watched it today, seemed weird watching it, feels very claustrophobic and disorientating, enjoyed it though. I love the trip from Seven Sisters to the depot, it feels like its a run on the Aldwych branch with 3329. On the V125 forum, Peter Middleton has stated that although all lines have been virtually covered, he will be doing a re-shoot of the Central next year, from East-West. In 2011 he will be doing the Teacup service on the new S stock, with a run into Hammersmith.

Sounds good! I hope the re-filmed Central goes from Hainault to Woodford via Chigwell, then to West Ruislip. Perhaps a documentary on the Central line modernisation program wouldn't go amiss either

Awesome! Any of the Vic line drivers know anything about this? Anybody know how they come to choose which drivers get to press the door opening button drive the trains featured? I would presume it gets given to the Line Standards Manager (in charge of I/Os) by the filming unit, then he finds an Instructor Operator prepared to take part. The benefit in using an I/O is that they are used to having extra persons in the cab with them. As far as the Cobourg Street feature goes, Peter Middleton was at Cobourg Street for one evening back in late January, took quite a few shots of the room, the signals diagram and the signallers. Everyone working in the room at the time was asked if we had any objections to this, I don't think anyone did. I'd imagine only a fraction of what was filmed actually made it into the finished item.

I have got their original Central line DEV, but can't wait for the re-shot, specially with my favourite 1992 stock trains!

I'm pleased they are to re-shoot the Central DEV, as I always found the original disappointing. Peter Middleton has said that it was a mistake to shoot in winter.
