They are one my favourite stock on the Underground. I particularly like their departure/arrival noises.

Don't despair, some of them are going to the Bakerloo Line (although the 67ts cars will be mixed in with 72ts to form a train).

I am sad that they will be going soon as they have great character to them and my top Favouite LU stock.

They are old, tired and deserve retirement to the great depot in the sky!

Considering their age and relatively primative technology (especially the ATO kit), they do an amazing job, especially when you consider the sheer number of people they move every day. However.....they are starting to show their age and their design does not lend themselves to a rapid mass people moving railway (no cab doors, large performance gap between Auto and Coded Manual driving, no air con for the T/Op etc). It's time for them to retire from running such an intensive service (so the Bakerloo should be ok!! )

Or have I imagined that??? As for the lack of cab doors, that's one of the stupidest bits of design on the 67/72 stocks!!! Still we've got them around for a couple of years yet!

I love the 67/72s they are my favourate tube stock! The lack of cab doors was to stop TOPs being left behind on the platform while the train leaves without them (not always prevented)! Sadly LT wanted new trains quickly so the 72s had to lump it! The lack of doors does mean the front looks a bit sleeker!
Thankfully some of them will go to the Bakerloo!

It'll be a sad day when the last 67 runs on the Vic . In my mind they where the first 'modern' tube stock and have character unlike much of the more modern 'plastic' stock! I'm going to miss the sound of the DC motors, the rattly doors, the occasional assisted stops and the wrap-round cab windows... to name a few features. I hope that LTM can find room to save one complete with all its ATO kit.

Sad when you think that the Vic is now the only line to have its original rolling stock.

I will miss them personally, I find change quite difficult and it will take some getting used to. I still really miss the 1959 stock on the Northern even now.

Agree, I don't know what I'll do when the A stock goes. They have been running all my life. I hate modern trains they have no character what so ever! I was on the Northern Line last night, the 95ts has to be one of the most boring trains in the world-does it actually make any noise other than the sound of a hoover and a small dog growling?

Not really. Every time I have travelled on the Vic I have found the trains noisy, dirty, uncomfortable. Looking forward to something more modern, quiet, and appealing

I particularly like their departure/arrival noises. probably explains why i use the Victoria line a lot ;D 95TS has to be dull 96TS was surely an ideal replacement for the 83TS

It wont be quite the same line without them really. Gone will be the days of a a train arriving in a heap because the drivers had to give the train a hint that it's a good idea to stop in the station. One of my first memories on the tube is of a Vic Driver on a 67ts reading a paper as the train came in!

Ahh, the 'thrown down the car' type of stop! Quite like the way the doors rattle when this occurs.
And when the compressor charges - shake in unison...

Looking forward to something more modern, quiet, and appealing And unbearably hot, hot, hot - though that goes for the whole of the line, not just the trains. Even walking from the Piccadilly platform to the Victoria one at Finsbury Park I can feel a difference, as if there's some invisible wall in the cross-passages keeping it separate - quite odd! I tend to avoid the Victoria where I can, luckily I don't often need it.

Whilst the 67TS are a marvel of 60s engineering, and it is sad to see them go, I am looking forward to the (slightly) more spacious, brighter, hopefully cooler, and higher performance 09TS!

I wouldn't say I'll miss them, but the new stock will take some getting used to.
I used to work on the 59 stock, but I can't honestly say I miss them not being on the Northern Line any more either...

IMO The S stock will be a pile of S***e! S doesn't stand for Space or Sub-surface it stands for S....! The A stock is a little old but for it's age it's fantastic! If there was a decent replacement in the offing it would be ok, but frankly.....
The 09ts looks ok but it is a little low for my liking-like some chav has pimped it! The seats are harder than the SAS from what i've heard!
They don't make trains like they used too!

On the few times I've been on the 67TS, they seemed to be good workhorses and were quite smooth, because the track is good! The refurb job has aged badly but they seem mechanically stable and perfectly usable, unless someone inolved in maintaining them would say otherwise.
I'd miss them somewhat. The retirement of non-life expired stock always hurts.
(The A-stock on the other hand seemed to have had it's time - I take the reduction from 70 to 50mph due to bogie cracking as a sign of life expirement).
