Is it because it's the only station with spiral stairs?

There are many stations on the Northern, with spiral staircases.

Is it something daft like the exit signs either point the wrong way, or that there simply are none..... Or maybe it will soon only be an entry only station?

Depends which set of pictures you find on Google - the older ones have no visible way outs but the newer ones do!
Could it be something like the way outs are a unique colour?

Any thing to do with the ticket hall being built around the lift shaft?

Just a thought I had while nodding off last night.
Was the station damaged in the war/s resulting in it being restored/repaired over the original one?

Last bit of CSLR ornate tiling around the dado level visible to public in the emergency staircase (apart from the blocked up passageway at Kennington)?

Oh well, in that case - is it something to with the passenger bridge crossing the station platforms - <clutching at finer and finer straws here>. Don't think there are many of them on the Northern.
Must admit I'm enjoying this source of puzzlement!

It's the only station on the Northern with 'ugh' in it's name, where the letters are together!
'ugh' as in Ugh, I cant be bothered with this any longer

Artery, no one is forcing you in taking part.
Hmm, next clue.
The operational side of this station has always been [and still is] a curious oddity!
Just to recap, the answer is nothing to do with stairs, platforms or tunnels.

HmmmMMMmmmmH: lifts. Yes, lifts.
Do you enter and exit the lift on the same side, rather than walking through the lift? (and that's the only lifts like it on the Northern)

Mornington Crescent has, IIRC, one way in/out for the lifts... [except the emergency exits, Hampstead are the same also, IIRC] it's not summat I take much notice of!
