Does anybody know the timings on the farewell tour on Sept 29th such as what time the tour gets to Watford from Moorgate, how long will it stay there etc. Will it only stop at certain stations en route? Also is it definitely going all the way back to Harrow from Chesham and then out to Amersham? Any idea how long lunch stop will be at Amersham? Booked on it but never been on a farewell tour before so curious. Timings for special trains on london underground are normally released 2 weeks prior to the date they will run. the timings for the amersham heritage day should have been confirmed now.

Yes, I know. but the internal special trains notices are generally released 2 weeks prior to the event, these notices contain full routing and timings for each station, were the times on the ltm website are quite vague.

I meant timings released on the website as a PDF or just simply written down on the A stock tour page of the LTM website rather than buying a poster for it

TfL must promote the last days of the A Stock on the main website. This is a big milestone.

Doesn't seem that there will be a chance for any photographs at Chesham, pity, and then there's a 21 minute stop at Harrow.

There isn't time at Chesham. There is probably a cancelled or delayed train because of the tour.

There isn't time at Chesham. There is probably a cancelled or delayed train because of the tour. It would have to be a canceled one, as the time it takes on the single line journey there and back, would exclude a delayed train.

The tickets were sole on the basis of four a side, when we know that there are seats for five a side, plus standing room. I suppose it is possible that the Chesham direct will be rerouted to Amersham; passengers for Chesham would be able to travel on the special. Or taxis will be available.

I think there is a 15-minute window between trains entering and leaving the Chesham branch. The now defunct shuttle was every 15 minutes.
I did email TfL website this morning about having a feature similar to Odakyu Railway's "The Last running" section for three three types of their fleet (http://www.odakyu.jp/lastrunning).

The branch can't take a 15 minute service, 8 mins CHL to CHM and return, plus stand time at Chesham is more than 20 minutes in itself. The shuttle used to depart at ##:25 and ##:55 each hour (off peak) connecting with the ##:10 and ##:40 ex Baker Street. Maybe you're thinking of the Mill Hill shuttle, as far as I know this is every 15 mins

There isn't time at Chesham. There is probably a cancelled or delayed train because of the tour. When the A stock tour is on the Chesham run, the normal Chesham train will go to Amersham, with a bus replacement to and from Chesham. The bus from Chesham runs 5 mins early than the booked train time.

Correct T403 0957 Aldgate to Chesham will run to & from Amersham arriving at 1107 and departing at 1133, with a rail replacement bus service to/from Amersham/Chesham. It's also worth noting that whilst T750 is entraining at Moorgate between 0917 and 0955 it will use Platform 4 and T700 (S7) which should be running for a change on a Saturday as there is no E/W on the H&C will be using Platform 3 between 0932 and 0940. The Lunch break at Amersham will be in Platform 1 from 1243 to 1336.

Does anybody know the approximate time for the tickets to arrive via the post? Thank you in advance I made a mistake on the web order form and missed the "Delivery Options" box (which defaulted to "Collection") so I emailed in to ask for the ticket to be posted to me. The response that I received indicated that my ticket would be posted to me about September 17th (yesterday) and should be received within the following few days. So expect the tickets soon.

Not being local to London, I chose the "postal" option, and received a notification in the email confirming my purchase that they would be posted. However, the tickets still hadn't arrived yesterday (despite me being one of the first people to book), so I chased up with the Museum; in a reply received today, it sounds as if they hadn't realised that I had chosen this option, and informed me that the tickets would now be posted tomorrow (Wednesday).
Therefore, if you similarly chose this option and still haven't received your tickets, it might be worth checking with the Museum (sooner rather than later) that they are aware of the need to post them out.

Apart from the above three and I, who else from the Forum is going. Should I bring the custard?

The tickets will arrive in the middle of next week. Bring the custard! Who told you that! I will be staying in the Minories that week, so will not be able to receive my ticket. I shall be contacting the museum tomorrow to complain about the ridiculous short space in time.

Where do I pick up tickets? The museum at Covent Garden or on the day at Moorgate?
