I have spoken to them a few days back on your behalf and posted to you that I was told 17 and/or over is considered as an adult. If you are still worried telephone them to confirm. I saw your reply and I thank you for doing that. My only concern was when today the booking site and ticket said "Under 16" which is contrary to all other information.

It'd be so cool I could go on this. I never went on an A Stock but I did see 5000 at Aldgate once, hence my signature It's just as well I'm not going, If I did carrying a seat on the train back home would be very awkward ;D.

Booked my ticket; second carriage somewhere. Out of curiosity, are we expected to sit in the specific carriage we chose, or were they making people choose a seat as a means of managing ticket sales?

Referring to Reply #138, if a diehard A-stock fan boarded Train 412 at Wembley Park at 08:02 and remained on the train throughout the day until it arrived at Harrow at 19:39 (using toilet facilities and purchasing snacks whenever possible without missing the train) and this person was travelling on Oyster PAYG, how many times would he/she need to tap in/out during the traveling day.

Don't bother doing that, the maximum fare for a one day travelcard would apply.

Actually unless things have changed in the past few years, do do that! Or better yet get a paper travel card. I did a run of the East London Line before it closed, Ruislip-NXG-Ruislip, only touching in and out at Ruislip. I got charged TWO penalty fares, for what the system saw as two imcomplete journeys. The total amount I spent on the tube that day was way way over what a paper travelcard would have cost to start with.

Words cannot express the shear horror I felt welling up within me when I got home tonight, logged onto the forum to check the quiz and saw this thread and realised what I had forgotten to do whilst at work today. This only deepened when I saw that tickets were selling out and there were only a few left.
*work faster computer, you know you can*
Tickets now booked, I went for one of the middle DMs the fourth car down the page. Front and back DMs were fully booked, but a fair amount of space in the rest of the train; perhaps about 50% of seats sold at the moment.
Train and accomodation also arranged, see you in four weeks!

I've booked for the tour - my first railway related event . I booked on-line and am in one of the middle trailer cars. Do the seat numbers mean anything or do you sit anywhere that you can in your assigned car?

Previously on this sort of thing as long as you were in the right car no-one seem bothered.
Interestingly the seats were arranged two per side; some people get loads of room, some will get cosy.

On the 67ts railtour I accidently booked myself in the second car when all my friends were booked in the first one. When we reached Uxbridge I asked the steward in the first car whether I could travel in the first car instead of the second and he said it was fine but just to make sure that if someone booked in the first car needed to sit down, be prepared to stand.

Thanks for that, bronzeonion, I will make a point of that when I contact the organisers tomorrow.

Is the September 26th run of T412 a definite? As definite as life ever is ..... Hope there's no disruption to spoil it. Should be one hell of a send off.

I can confirm now, there are no particular seat reservations, only the carriage letter you are booked in for.

Does anybody know the timings on the farewell tour on Sept 29th such as what time the tour gets to Watford from Moorgate, how long will it stay there etc. Will it only stop at certain stations en route? Also is it definitely going all the way back to Harrow from Chesham and then out to Amersham? Any idea how long lunch stop will be at Amersham? Booked on it but never been on a farewell tour before so curious.

One would think there would be timings on their site, unless I have missed it somewhere.
