A good guess would be engineering works between Baker Street and Harrow..the Met can give extra trains round the north circle..

As it states above Eng Wk at Preston Park and between Finchley Road and Baker Street. There is no E/W on the H&C which is why it is running normally. The TFL web site should be showing no service between Harrow and Aldgate not as shown.

They are trying to avoid the previous confusion of showing that, by only showing the actual suspension rather than the line's suspension. As you point out, the H&C is serving those stations between Baker Street and Aldgate, so it is an attempt to reflect this.

I was out and about at the north end of the Met today and it was rather disappointing to note the following: - at Moor Park, there were no times displayed and so no information to inform passengers that Amersham trains were departing from Platform 1 and not Platform 3 as they normally do at weekends. I personally witnessed a few passengers running from Platform 3 to Platform 1 when they noticed a Met train approaching on the Down Main - at Rickmansworth and Amersham Stations, no times were provided of revised Met train departures and so no indication that some trains were fast to Harrow whilst others (as is the norm at weekends) were all stations in the case of Rickmansworth
Timings were displayed at Chalfont & Latimer. I don't know about Chorleywood.
Now that passengers are used to all off-peak Amersham/Chesham trains running slow, when service patterns and times are altered due to engineering work, times and stopping patterns should in my view be displayed.

I would have got annoyed to be honest and made a complaint. You are entitled to know when your train is coming and from what platform otherwise you could be waiting ages!

Passenger information anywhere north of Northwick Park tends to be very poor in my opinion at any time.

"....departing from Platform 1 and not Platform 3 as they normally do at weekends." We'll that was before the new time table, no more fast trains on weekends, so "normal" these days is platform 1 & 2....
There are however big boards in the underpass saying the trains now depart from platform 1 & 2....

Not this morning it wasn't. Several faults including a faulty windscreen wiper meant it went empty from Uxbridge to Neasden depot.

Well, not good, but then again not disastrous. All faults were probably easily fixed, and as the scrapping program seems to be favouring those (much) later in the series, perhaps this one is safe for now.
