19/03/2012 With no scrap move today the A stock seemed to be out in force. What a lovely day for them too. Not a cloud in the sky this morning. I saw and travelled on some of the following... 5078*+5229 5084+5181 5093+5080 5052+5195 5034+5099 5103+5070 5061+5082 5151+5056 Just washed too, she looked lovely 5232+5??? 5117+5134* 5014+5A62 5044+5123 5040+5097 5112+5219 5062+5225 5153+5022 5120+5199 5012+5183 5016+5109 5149+5??? and 5050 seen at 1830 running (with 5051 leading) into Neasden Depot from the North.....

Thanks for the above report Metman. Can you confirm which unit is formed up with 5014 as that is a change I've not recorded? There is a typo in your unit entry above against 5014 and it can't be 5062.

It's a 'D' end A62 it has to be. Didn't catch it though. Sorry its not 6062/3 I typed 5A62 as a memory aid. Perhaps someone can help...

I've updated the spreadsheet: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsHaeoH5qU2WdGZaa2tJMkVuaE1GTVYzRUU5WklTcmc#gid=0It's a 'D' end A62 it has to be. Didn't catch it though. Sorry its not 6062/3 I typed 5A62 as a memory aid. Perhaps someone can help... It would have to be one of these: 5161 - last seen 15th March with 5232 5169 - last seen 15th March with 5114 5189 - last seen 15th March with 5104 5203 - last seen 16th March with 5046 5213 - last seen 18th March with 5068 5231 - last seen 16th March with 5090 Double ended units 5100 and 5118 are not known to be coupled to anything at the moment, so maybe at least one of those is now running with a unit that was with one of the A62s listed above. Was 5050 running A end south before? If it's been turned then it's possible another formation is being split and the units coupled to 5050 and one of 5100 and 5118. That's assuming 5149 is still with 5024, and that no other changes have happened.

When I took 5050 last Friday night it was coupled to 5101 and 5050 was at the North end. 5050 was still at the north end yesterday when it was being driven from 5051 into the depot area.

Just seen 5119+5108 at West Harrow heading towards Uxbridge. 5119 was at the North. Thanks Metman. Not noted that formation change but can advise that 5014 is formed up with 5106 and 5016 is now formed up with 5062. Oh, and 5056 has some bad flats I'm sorry to say!

Changes made during today's midday off-peak period: 5104+5203, 5014+5117 and 5134+5106/7.
If I was a betting man, Monday's T717 is looking like 5046+5189 or 5225.

Further reformations: 5040+5189, 5094+5225, 5012+5199 and 5118+5121.
These changes are likely to mean that 5189 or 5225 won't be disposed of on Monday as I thought might be the case yesterday. However, two or three other units are now thrown up as possibles. Probably best though that I don't speculate as no doubt I'll be wrong!

Some changes there, including 5144/5 coming back from the dead!
I assume 5144 should read 5114?
