Well 5016, 5020 or 5034 could couple to either 5108 or 5147 but whos the odd man out? Is there a spare A62 about?

You think? There will be a lot of spare 'A' end A60 about though. Having said that there are a few pairs of double enders that could be split up. Shame, I like 5147.

As we know, normally the units going on Monday have been withdrawn by Thurs night. Unless there has been another reformation during the day which I've not yet noted, there are no other A62 candidates. However, the Winter is drawing to a close so it may not be long before we start to see one to two deicing units go before they start to depart in droves from mid-April.

Update: 5016+5109.
This observation makes me think there may be no scrap train on Monday? An 'A' Stock scrap train did immediately follow 21035/036's delivery a few weeks back and I just wonder that given this train is not currently available for Met Line service (its now an S8-1), there is a need to hold an A Stock back for a further week? Just a thought.

This weekend all the 15 Uxbridge line trains should be formed of A stock, as they also work through to Kings Cross at various parts of day, this is to prevent the S stock being graffitied whilst turning round in the old Kings Cross station.

Just saw 5062+5225 near North Harrow. I think 5062 was facing South. Also saw 5151+5056 with 5056 facing North-it must have been turned last night. Happy days.

A good and a bad thing I guess! What about all the other services?

Changes: 5161+5232 and 5024+5149. Worth keeping an eye on the latter for possible disposal next week.

16/03/2012 Despite the disruption I had a good run into town in the evening entering and leaving platform 1 at Baker Street!
5052+5195* 5040+5097 5101+5050* 5120+5199 5078+5229
Also saw an S stock halfway out of platform 1 at Wembley with a white light lit on the door fault module. I assume this was a PEA?

Thursday 15/3/12 Another successful day with all routes done in A stock and a ride on 5000 as well. Definitely fewer A stock out and about compared with February so the withdrawels are starting to bite.
401 S 402 5040+5096 403 21017 404 21031 also 5168+5114* 405 S 406 5108+5016 411 21039 412 A 413 5232+5160 414 5078+5228 415 5024+5148 416 5224+5062
421 21034 422 21006 423 S 424 21030 425 5168+5114 until 1030, 5056+5150 pm 426 21009 427 21082 430 21043 431 21019
441 5088+5000 442 5188+5104 443 5012+5182 444 5100+5050 445 S 446 S 447 5094+5106
450 5120+5198 451 21061 452 5116+5134 453 Not seen 454 21071 455 Not seen 456 5052+5194
466 21095 467 21021 470 21026
* 5168+5114 started out on train 425 but appear to have swapped over at Aldgate onto train 404 so presume 21031 developed a fault.

While out today, nearly all the trains out was s stocks on the kings cross/uxbridge route, so you weren't quite right.

That was the plan, however after last nights Signal problems all the stock ended up in the wrong places, and as only 5 out of the 15 trains needed for the Uxbridge/Kings Cross service is made up of trains that start from Neasden a lot of overnight shunting around would have had to take place.

Quite dissapointed at that when I turned up at Eastcote for a train to London and what do I see, loads of S stock! Haha I thought there might have been a screw up last night!
