Surprised nobody has posted the no codes gap we experienced when crossing back to the Victoria! I wondered what that was. It was really weird, especially how it was in the middle of the driver's announcement and he just kept on like nothing had happened until apologising at the end!

Bronzeonion; the lights went completely out. Not too sure that was no codes, minding that we hadn't switched back over yet...

Think you'll find the lights went out because someone in the cab who happend to be on the P.A at the time fell onto the light's off button when the train stopped rather quickly!!!

You just answered the question of the people opposite me when the lights went out; they wondered if you could press a button to turn all the lights off (they were assuming the lights off was a loss of power or something) - and they were wondering if you could then run a train through stations without stopping, with people dressed as zombies and ghosts with the lights turned off! PS: we hadn't switched back over yet... We had I was in car 2 which was just about to go over the crossover when it happened. I forgot that the crossover went straight onto the running line of the Vic!

I can only agree with the comments that have already been posted - what a fantastic send-off for the '67s - a thoroughly enjoyable day - definitely worth enduring the 50mph speed limits on the M1! I appear to have been pictured in: www.flickr.com/photos/0causton0/5723300722/in/set-72157626727042122 - unless anyone else can claim to be the chap in the blue shirt on the right, that'll be me! My own photographs and video will appear in due course - no doubt a few of you may recognise yourselves in them!

A great day spent chasing it, only wish I could contrive to ride on it at the same time.
A bonus too of seeing D Stock reversing via Lillie Bridge depot/West Kensington beforehand, something that normally only occurs when its dark.
No marks to the staff of at least three stations on the Uxbridge branch who were telling people that they couldn't take photos/had to ask/sign-in etc, though we've done that discussion to death on here.
Look forward to the final two 'lasts' - north of 'Sisters and then on the whole line.

I've already looked through flickr trying to find photos of me - found none so far but hey, you never know! Was surprised at how many TfL station staff were on the platforms at the last few Picc stations, I'm sure I counted 8 at one station all with their phones out taking pics! (don't blame them hey ;D )

I've just uploaded a video of it at Finsbury Park, Green Park (both westbound - I got on 09TS 11073 and just managed to get to Green Park in time), Uxbridge and Ealing Common:

Seaeagle your driving into platform 4 this morning was superb, nice and slow allowing both photos and videos to be taken.
I'd like to thank all who went into organising the tour, as WRV (Wider Range Videos) enjoyed chasing the tour over the network today and with one of the group onboard it was great to hear what the atmosphere was like aswell. After seeing it leave Seven Sisters, then to Uxbridge, Ickenham, Ealing Common, King's Cross St Pancras and finally arriving back into Seven Sisters it made for a great day!. The video is currently uploading, and also from today 4 sets were out on normal Victoria line services, these being; 40+41 76+58 84+11 60+61
Thank you once again!

When we got back to Seven Sisters, the supervisor came over the pa and bellowed about no flash photography, thankfully everyone ignored him, as did the train staff. Strictly its not allowed, but the train was stationary, the train staff/managers had no problem with it and it was a special occasion.

(did give a toot on the Acton Town whistle though!)

Why didn't you come and find the rest of the forum crowd at the the other end of the car? I probably should have tried to find people, I was in car 6 most of the time with a most interesting I/Op, who even went to get the shoe lifting board out of a compartment to show some interested people. Edit: Ah, I appear in Causton's flickr set also...

Strictly its not allowed, but the train was stationary, the train staff/managers had no problem with it and it was a special occasion. IIRC the current Rule Book (Station Management) says that S/S's should "control" flash photography, which is not the same as banning it. But then if people don't read the weekly Traffic Circular regarding this subject, they're not likely to wade through 20-odd booklets (unlike some of us . ) Clearly with the train fully berthed and on a physically separate part of the station from the running lines, there were no safety issues at stake here. I recall flash being used liberally on the same platform as the first 09TS entered on the inaugural passenger working, but I don't recall any hectoring messages being made in front of Tim O'Toole though.

3075+3078 were also running. Worked 'train 225' to Walthamstow, shortly after the tour got back, then to Brixton, where it was stepped up to work 'train 222'
10/10 to all involved with todays trip!

Indeed, fair enough playing that warning when the in service trains were coming in, but continuing when the 67 stock entered wasn't very good! Neither was the man at Seven Sisters telling us cars 1-4 were at the front and 5-8 at the back, but nobody knew which was which (not blaming the guy who made the announcement for that though) and the steward from my car (2) went down the platform shouting "CAR 1 - STAND HERE" etc, which was a bit more helpful

I might have some pics seaeagle... will dig the camera out in the moment.
I'd just like to echo some of hte comments in this thread, and think the team behind the tour should be praised.
I should also apologise to the car two steward, who I was a bit narked at this morning when I couldn't work out the end of the train I was meant to be at with the unhelpful messages.

If you look carefully in widerrangevideos' YouTube clip you can see me standing by the front right hand double doors in 3071 as it's leaving ;D

Are you the man in the centre of this pic: www.flickr.com/photos/15265256@N03/5723598508Will this do: www.flickr.com/photos/15265256@N03/5722380307I also saw an A stock passing through a train wash (and it needed it, its last four carriages were grubby) and an A stock looking as if its face had been lathered. I wasn't happy that I didn't get to see the 1967 stock alongside an S stock. Also, I went to Finsbury Park to get a picture of the train on its return journey, thinking it would come in the Piccadilly line platform, only to hear it lurch into the Victoria line platform. I thought the connection back the Victoria line was after Finsbury Park. Not before. Also, when the train pulled out, it whistled. I wonder if it was whistling at me, because I had my camera out. Come to think of it, can the whistle be blown at the back even though the driving is being done at the front?

The whistle was constantly being blown as the train was leaving Seven Sisters after the tour had finished, the video I'm trying to upload proves this.

Well the letter with the ticket did state that the North End of the train was Car 1, the south end was car 8. But a fair few were confused. I dont think people realised the train was reversing in the platform and then going North to the depot.
