Definitely agree - I much prefer the red front.

It resembles one of the 1986 trains I think. Looks like they are trying to make the 92ts look like an 86ts as an excuse to replace them early *sarcasm*.

They look better with grey fronts, but only if they keep them clean!

Looks good, thanks for the pics. Step in the right direction; before there was far more red on the side of the cab than the front!

Bengley, I have to admit, your suggestion does improve the front rather well, IMHO

We could try the 09ts style grey continuing from the bottoms of the window and going around the lights and leaving the M door red?

Agree. Though would rather scrap the lot.

The current front is slightly strange and makes it look like the train's wearing square glasses... imageshack.us/photo/my-images/155/44583706.png/ [Excuse the bad editing]

The curves fit the 09 because the train is curved, but the 92 stock is dead straight.

I personally would leave the old style on, since it was meant to be that way when it was delivered.

Seems as if they are taking this "filming" business too seriously. I haven't got any pictures but I'm sure someone can provide...
They have now started filming the interior of the 92ts with "beige"!! I didn't notice it at first until I saw my own reflection on the door panel.
The Interior beige walls and the inside of the doors have been layered with some sort of a shiny film in the same colour. Looks like they couldn't be bothered to clean the walls though the vinyl looks easier to clean. BUT they haven't done it all, they've lefts gaps and there are overlays so whilst it looks okay at first, close up it looks cheap.
FAIL.

Indeed I saw 91321 the other day and noticed the very shiny bulkhead, almost like a mirror. However it looks like the edges are already pealing :/ On another note, 91321 must have been the slowest unit ive been on in a while. It was so slow and the motors had that low hum that seems to occur on slower units.

I managed to chat to a senior Central Line manager on NYE (it was a quiet night!). There is a plan to 'wrap' the worst of the 92TS in time for the Olympics, with both exteriors and insides being treated. The downside is there isn't the money to do all of them, nor will armrests be returning. Also problems have arisen with the vinyl used (as posted on DD with either the washplant or outside-hung doors being blamed for damaging the film - which is odd as this is the UK industry-norm now for applying train liveries). A completely different colour scheme will appear on a 92TS train very soon, and not what many DD readers will predict!

Apparently there is a livery on the 09 stock where the blue skirt has a black outline so that might happen to the 92 stock.

Black outlines seem to be everywhere on new underground stock what with the extremely thick rubber seals. Does it really need one on the skirt aswell, or is the cartoon-look considered too subtle at the moment? What about Mars-bar livery

Another prediction of mine would be metallic silver with red doors and red front (since silver seems trendy for new metro trains recently). Alternatively, I was thinking about the possible use of the skyline outline of London as part of the new livery
However, I do not know whether the possible livery change is a temporary or permanent one.

Oh, so it's a temporary thing? I thought there were plans for a long-term livery.
