I think you may be right a60, 5034 + 5062 are supposed to be on the tour.

Presumably the scrappings will restart soon with the Paralympics ending this weekend (and this strange concept of "no weekend line closures" that I still can't get my head around.)

Well! we already know that 5094-5095 and 5102-5103 are off on Monday 17. September. Presumably the other units will follow suit in fairly quick succession with the last two units scrapped shortly after the tour on Saturday 29. September. Hopefully someone in the know will be able to post the dates of the scrap moves and the units involved in due course? Best Wishes Green Lion. |

I didn't believe that at first, but after checking it seems hels right! Hasn't had a post for a while now though... Can't believe that there is only 4 left now. I imagine that 5094/5103 must have been stripped by now... They were moved from Klondyke Sidings during the day on Friday. I'm assuming that if each of the four forthcoming runs of T717 are made up of 8 cars, it will be 5112 or 5113 that becomes the static museum display? If not, then surely one of these T717 runs will be 4 car only? |

AFAIK 5112/3 are being kept at Acton in case either 5110/1 or 5234/5 become inoperable. From speculative comments, it appears that 5034 may be dolled-up put into the museum...

5034 would have to be "filmed" or painted again if the red front appearance is to be restored.

You may well be right because what I hadn't considered was the possibility of the static museum exhibit going direct by low loader from Northwood to the Museum at Acton. |
