Interestingly, 5084 just made it to 50 years in passenger service and will no doubt be the last single ended unit to achieve this.

They have changed the times haven't they? That'll be it then. Where you on the platform. I was on the bridge with Alfie!
As the next single ended unit in service is 5134 you will be right. Shame.

I was at the London end of the Up platform for the down journey and then went down the car park to capture T717 arriving in the sdg. Quite often, they stop now on the down to drop off depot staff who need to get down to the site to prepare for the train's arrival, but not today. The driver made the most of the non stop permitted speed!

5232 or better known as 5028-6028-6117-5117 was the first renumbered unit in 1985 was always one of my favourates. You don't have long to win the lotto folks......

u5000 had already been given a reprieve once, but it's at the limit for maintenance periodicity for several activities, so has to go soon unless extra money is spent on it. As a single ender it was always going to go relatively early.

It is also rare for the first built of the fleet to be preserved. 53000-54000, 3001-3101, 1012-1013, 21000, 3601-3701, 3201-3301 are all examples. I'll leave you guys to work out which stocks are which! The only example is the 1938 stock in the Depot.

I suspect that LTM may only be interested in double-ended units, unless I am told that the 4-car heritage 38 stock was made from single cars.

I suspect Neasden might want the unit back so they can start stripping things from it

5183 5082 are ready at neasden. Thank you for the confirmation undergrounddriver. 5000+5088 has resided in Rickmansworth South Sidings today. 4 x S and 1 x A formed Trains 401-405 today. Presumably if Neasden want this train after tomorrow morning's peak, it will form either T473 or T476 in the morning?
