Is there a reason that most of the withdrawals have concentrated on the A62 units rather than the slightly older A60?

I think it is linked to last overhauls. Not sure why it should be A62s however. I know there are no A62 double ended or deicing units however.
Is there a scrap move Wed?

The scrapping order is based, largely, on the order of the last scheduled lifting maintenance. There have been exceptions to this, e.g. when units have failed and the expense of repair hasn't been justifiable. The aim has always been to keep the double ended units until last, so a few years ago the maintenance plan was revised so that this would happen.

5213 and 6213 went y'day PM, 5212 and 6212 today and 5069 and 6069 were loaded up and ready to depart when I passed this evening. 5068 & 6068 disposed of this am. All cleared for Monday's arrival. |

5229+5078 arrived in Northwood Engineers' Siding at 1257. 5229 at the north end.
Immediately followed on the Up by T711 formed of 21079/080 on a test run.

Formation changes Sunday night and Monday would indicate that it will be formed of 5084+5199. We will see if this is confirmed tomorrow. |
