5048, and 5205 had completely dissapeared at Northwood by about 11am yesterday (Friday) morning. Also train 444 was formed of A-stock yesterday.

Not for long. At about 1400 it was changed to an S stock unit 007/008 at Harrow and the A stock was diverted into the siding. It became 432 and went I assume back to Aldgate. The radio on 007/08 then failed!
The next train (A60) 445 was diverted to Ricky all stations!

T717 was today formed of 5054/55 and 5058/59. It ran 10 mins early. This formation was only in passenger service towards the end of last week.

5054-6054-6055-5055 are all still at Northwood. 5055 and 6055 are ready to be loaded and as of 10mins ago the two Alleleys trucks are also there! Should they have gone today? Do they leave them there overnight normally?

Just seen a mate's facebook status update and he seems to think 5000 could be the next to go. I certainly hope not. Saw 5000 in service NB at Neasden yesterday.

I thought nothing was going this week??!! Have I missed something? T717 is the scrap move from Neasden Depot to Northwood. Noticed on the way home this evening that 5002 and 6002 have already been loaded up onto low loaders and presumably will be off first thing in the morning.

Ah right.... I'll add that to the ever growing list. I'm starting to feel for the A stock fans now, I dread the day when this happens to the 73's....

I thought nothing was going this week??!! Remember my current egg on face thing... There wasn't meant to be anything (as far as I was told). However, imagine my surprise (well, not really) when "The scrap train at Northwood" is mentioned during our handover this afternoon. It appears that although no S-stocks have been delivered (as planned) they have decided we have enough stock to get rid of another A-stock. Ironically we actually had a shortage of S-stock this evening due to a couple of defects, and had to run A-stocks for a couple of trains.

Any idea about next week? There is a bank holiday on Monday so no move will take place that day. Perhaps this week was the substitute?

Maybe - although on the original paperwork it was no move this week, with next week's being made on Tuesday. There's obviously been some changes whilst I was on leave last week, which may not have reached my work inbox.

We wait and see then ;D ;D ;D Just to confirm, no scrap A Stock at Northwood this evening. Presumably, the next operation of T717 will be Mon 05th Sept?

It is pencilled in for next Monday. Mind you, so was a move today.
September was meant to be the month where everything steps up a gear, so it seems only right that a move (and subsequent delivery) should happen next week.

I've just passed 5141 and 5136 over at neasden beaches. ( Sandite road) both are being stripped of parts.

It looks like we now know what T717 will be formed of on Monday. Surprised about 5136 because if I recall correctly (I'll check later), 5136 was shown in a posting on this site about a year back as being one of the final 5 units to be withdrawn in the original disposal plan. Both these units were in passenger service towards the end of last week.

I will just add that, if I remember correctly, the person who supplied some of the "information" was not exactly in a position to supply it accurately. Some of the info that did work out was down to either lucky guesses or happening to eavesdrop on certain conversations in the depot. There has, of course, been information in the past that I have supplied which has also been wrong. Whilst that has been from an official source, it only goes to show that sometimes the depot confines operate their own secret world ;D
