168 or 165? I'd imagine more likely on the 168s...

I hear the drivers speaking fair bit on the A stock.
21007/8 presented itself at West Harrow this morning and the first two cars doors wouldn't open - not impressed!
Did see 21017/18 out earlier too.

If the t/op would stop on the mark, that wouldn't happen! As for bengley, I do recall our 465s having DVA at one point or another, but wasn't used much. It was a little strange hearing all the familiar noises with the growl of a diesel overlaid. Don't see why they don't use it tbh...

Passengers complained to Chiltern about it I believe, they were upset that they couldn't sleep on the train/were irritated by the announcements.

Anyone know what the door issues with 21017/18 were today? We were told to detrain at northwood hills and they then manually closed the doors before running empty. However, while they were trying to fix it the doors were opening and closing fine.

It was reported that the doors on Southbound train 441 failed to open again (re-cycle I presume) after the the doors were apparently obstructed.

Forgot to mention that I saw 21099/100 at Amersham on Wednesday Afternoon Amersham will be a regular haunt over the next few weeks, with one of the "run as required" test paths being used during the mid-day off peak period. There will be a mixture of fast and slow services run, but unfortunately it cannot be guaranteed that the train will be in service each and every trip. As a consequence, Train 451 will now not normally be S-stock until late afternoon/evening.

(seeing an S-stock for the first time I thought I was too late as the doors were closed - oops ;D ) It was 21005 bringing up the rear from Baker Street

It's interesting watching one door right up the end of the train being open and everyone sprinting the full length of the platform to go through that one door, instead of opening another door. Perhaps I should just quote your message and leave it on posters outside that snack hut sandwich bar place

More funny is the autoclose feature kicking in and everyone dashing to that set of doors ;D
I always watch for the door fault lights. On the A stock you see people dashing for the train at Baker Street not realising that the lack of orange lights means the driver hasn't even got in the cab yet!

S stock ran to Chesham yesterday evening. I was on the 1810 from Chalfont to Chesham. I assume this service originated from Baker Street? Majority of people on the platform were unsure as to whether it was Chesham bound, despite the announcement and signage!

It did originate at Baker Street and should have gone to Watford. But there was a cancellation on the Chesham service so Train 465 (as it was) was diverted. Yes we watched several stations (in particular Moor Park northbound main) where people seemed to be very unsure whether the train was for them!

Set 441 was running empty through West Harrow last night at about 7.30. The driver waved to me. Anyone on the forum who knows me?

21007 was running as train 441 today. I also saw 21003 (I think) on the SB fast near Preston Road, only going to Wembley Park. Train 451 was an A stock, which I saw in the afternoon running empty past Northwick Park.

Think 401 is a test path. In old days the 401-406 was the fast Amersham service, but this was changed to 410-417 a few years back.

Was disappointed at the 451 being an A-stock as I had just missed the 441 at Wembley Park as I think it ran early (half 12 ish going Southbound at WPK?) and the 451 comes northbound just after 451 leaves southbound - so I ran onto the next service southbound to catch 441 at Baker Street where I caught it to Northwick Park ... then walked to Kenton to catch the train to Camden Road! [off topic: at Northwick Park the barrier seemed to destroy my ticket, as it came up with an error 08* (recoding error) and then at every single barrier I would get an 09* (ticket damaged) error. So I had to find someone at every ticket gate to let me through... half the people thought I was just an idiot even when I said "it's coming up with an error code 09" and it was awkward to find the person at Canonbury at 11pm... fair play actually having someone there that late though! *codes may need to be swapped] I went to a gig at HHY and left about quarter to 11, and invited my friend to have a go on the S-stock with me... they declined Comparing the S-stock to the 378s, I love that the seats are actually padded!

In consequence of this, 451 is formed of A-stock until 1534 Harrow southbound, when it goes off to depot to be transformed into an S-stock for its 1614 northbound working at Wembley ;D ;D

If that was today then by a whisker you missed an S on the "run as required" T401 calling at Wembley Park 1235ish n/b working a semi-fast Uxbridge.

Aww no! I must have done as I think I got there at 12:36, and by my records boarded T435 (5022) at 12:39 and got T441 (21018) at 12:54 from Baker Street (also saw 21014 showing train number 777* on its display outside Neasden on the road next to the trainwash).
*am I correct in thinking this is the highest number that can be displayed as a train number due to some of the track equipment using a binary system that only has 1,2 and 4 lines?
