Sometimes trains get reformed during the day if there is disruption but I'm not sure if that was the case today. However, the S stock programme is getting to the stage now where S7's can appear on any working now that all of the drivers are cleared to operate them. I also believe that S7's are now cleared to stable across the line, meaning that they could theoretically appear anywhere.

I was riding the H&C on an S7 the other day and saw maps for the District Line All S7's have H&C, Circle and District line diagrams in them. also, a question for anyone in the know. Train 200 starts from Moorgate platform 3, so presumably train 257 which stables there the night before must be formed of S stock. Is this the case?

Roughly 1.5 hours. Long enough to see all H&C and Circle line trains in service. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know. I have a list of all S7's seen but I do not record details of C stock

Yes T/N is the train number, you know the three character number on the front of the train and that which is shown in the WTT.

It's 2009 stock where the train number is always shown on the leading side display.

That sounds right, I see it often at Aldgate and Barking, but nowhere else. First ride on an S7 on the southern half of the Circle today (21311), added a bit to my journey going that way but worth it

Wouldn't it be better if the SDO announcement was the male voice?

Am I the only person who thinks that the SDO announcement is played too long after the doors open at some stations? Let's say someone doesn't hear the "The front/rear doors will not open at the next station, please use other doors." announcement in between two stations, when the train stops at the station and the front/rear doors don't open, there is a slight delay between the time the doors open and the time the announcement "The front/rear doors will not open here, please use other doors." so the by the time the person hears that the doors that do actually open at the station might have already been closed because the train is ready to depart! Then again the red cross and text do appear above the closed doors...

Initially it may cause problems, but eventually people will learn - "this door never opens at station X, so I should probably go to where the doors do open" just like how people will often go by the doors which are nearest to their exit.

I think for these stations alone the announcements should start straight away once the doors are opened, by the time the beginning part of the announcement is done it will probably match the gap observed at other stations.
One of my concerns is that when the trains announce "The next station is..." at the approach to a station, the message scrolls only once on the displays and then the displays stay blank until the doors open, why can't the next station message remain scrolling on the displays until the doors open?

I've noticed that too. It's stupid. They should change to scroll until the train comes to the station!

The First District Line S7 to run in peak hours did so during this evening peak 16th September, when we ran an Olympia - Plaistow - Olympia rounder (1630 aprox from Olympia.

Is the plan now to introduce the stock across all three lines at once or are these District line trains effectively extra 'live' testing?

How many circle line trains are there running at any one time (both S and C stock) and how does the train numbering system work, does it start from 200 and (if there were say 10 trains on the line) end at 209 and then go back to 200.
