Running slightly late I was please to see T456 sat in Uxb this morning, even more pleased to see it was S7+1 21319 only to jump on it and they take it out of service! It parked up in Uxb sidings as I left on T425.
Any reason known why it was pulled?

Surely it would have been better (for the customer, of course ) if 456 had turned back at Wembley instead of cancelling one round trip. I am sure the Uxbridge customer would prefer to have got half the way and having to change trains rather than all being squeezed on to 425.

S7+1 21319/320 was on M412 S7 21303/304 was on T700
The 10:07 HMS-MGT working tends to run 20mins late sometimes

Hello everyone. What are members' thoughts please on how long it will take to fault-rectify all of the S8's (or really how accurate/off-the-mark was the ES article last week in saying it would take a year to complete). Also, is it the case that some staff involved in the construction of S7's would be moved across to speed this process up (and delay deliveries of S7's therefore), or not? Thanks in advance for replies.

And does anyone know how many new sets will be used on the H&C when the new tt comes into effect?
From the TFL forum it appears that there are six sets at the test track and three sets at the Neasden depot.
So it doesn't look as if the new stock will be making much of a splash in the short term.

Now that its safe and warm in Neasden Depot, anybody know what was delivered overnight? As far as I know, nothing was delivered overnight. Some class 20s have arrived to take the next S8 back to Derby.

Only 21003/4 returned so far Ok thanks for that, not the speedy process I was expecting really. Im presuming this is whats delaying further S7 deliveries and the delivery of 21001?

S7 21315 was in service as train 700 yesterday (28th November).
S7+1 21319 was running as train 412.

S7 21315 was in service as train 700 yesterday (28th November). S7+1 21319 was running as train 412. So, first day for 21315-6 was 28/11. Still looking out for the second S7+1 (324-323) in service now that the second S8 (006-005) has returned to Derby.

I'm confused but I think I'm working the numbering system out, Ive got a photo of an S8 wheelchair carriage numbered 24078.
Would I be right in thinking that the whole train is numbered
21077,22077,23077,24077,24078,23078,22078,21078.
Also is there any difference between 22077 and 23077?

Also is there any difference between 22077 and 23077? as I understand it the 22xxx cars include some essential equipment (not sure what) whilst the trains can operate without the 23xxx cars, which is why some 23xxx cars are missing (from the S7 units) and others are replaced by de-icing 25xxx. In the R-stock, which used the same 2xxxx number series, with position in the unit determining the 3rd digit, it was the 232xx cars which were dispensible, so after reformation from the original four car formations (211xx,232xx,233xx, 234xx) the 3-car west end units had none, and the five- car units had two. (These units were coupled to one or two "east end" unit (numbers 235xx, 226xx) to make a 7-car train)

21323/324 was forming T455 90 mins or so back. Looking at the Working Timetable, the train should have started from Watford 21 siding. If that was so (i.e., it wasn't reformed from anything else during this morning), it must have been in service during the PM peak yesterday (Train 463, 16.05 Neas dt (S) to 19.50 Wat 21 Rd).

Has it been confirmed that the S7s will be going to barking from Sunday? Yes it should be. Will the service still be one train as Train 700 or a different number or Multiple trains running?

Will the service still be one train as Train 700 or a different number or Multiple trains running? T700 continues in the new timetable, as the same "runs as required" working as now. It is hoped to run more than one train each full traffic day to Barking.
