Any ideas where TfL will be running the S7s? It would be nice if they ran some on the Wimbledon to Edgware Road service when the Wimbledon Tennis events are on. It is a pity that there is not the flexibility to have some S7s in service and allowing some 8 car C stocks to be formed up. I think 8-car C Stocks may be a touch too long... Nice thought though... LUL does not have the flexibility to do that unlike on the mainline, but it would had been useful to increase the capacity over the Olympics on the SSL I would thought it would been more a priority now to replace as many C stocks in the run up and during the Olympics even if this left half a dozen or so A stocks running on the Met.

When will 21037/38, 21045/46 and 21059/60 have their 8th car added and put into service on the Met?

When will 21037/38, 21045/46 and 21059/60 have their 8th car added and put into service on the Met? As a guess; as soon as the first S7 enters Hammersmith Depot?

How will the S7's be transferred to Hammersmith Depot? Will they go to Neasden as normal and then down the Met to Baker Street, and reverse to Hammersmith?

Worth noting that the C stock was ordered with the intention that it could, once platform extensions had been completed, run in 8car formation.
Only about 80 years early. :/
Just don't get it; the H&C would gain a massive benefit from an all out introduction now. Yet all eyes are Still on the Met.

I know, why not start on the S7s? The A stock aren't that bad are they?? The C stock was indeed ordered with the option to make up 8 car train. I personally could have seen some 3 car units being ordered to create 7 car trains for the District line M-T-M+M-T+T-M or M-T+M-T-M+T-M or M-T+M-T+M-T-M etc.... ;D

It makes sense to have unify the fleet on any given line so as to make maintenance easier. It would be silly to leave a few A stocks running while they stsrt equipping the H&C with S stock.

T430 21055 had a major door hissy fit at HOH and has only just left after a good 10 mins & 3 drivers looking at it! Feel sorry for these drivers still having to manage these issues, is this what some of the updates are for?

I saw 21301/2 run through Paddington Sub this morning with three in the cab, at about 1015. T200 I *think*, but not at all certain. There are some stickers on the doors instructing passengers not to board 7X09 has been vandalised in Dorridge loop (tonights delivery) absolutely disgusting

Probably T700 - I too would like to hang the vandals up by their genitals and swung round by their heads until their screams could be heard in Reykyavik.

The Admin team would like to thank all who have posted the above... Sadly the news that S Stock deliveries are being targeted by vandals means that the Admins need to review what information is posted on the open forum. Sadly we therefore must instruct members not to post news of expected deliveries before the event. PLEASE READ THE ANNOUNCEMENTAs per the announcement, PM ChrisW of forthcoming delivery news. He will update the delivery list as soon as possible AFTER the event.

21035 was out on the Met today displaying T700 (though I doubt this was the actual number?) and was definitely S8-1.
Also, 21045 was also running as T714. I'm not definite about this but I thought the train was formed S8 and no longer S8-1. Has it now been reformed? Apologies, but 21045 passed at speed the train I was on and it was a couple of seconds before I realised the significance of which train it was.

Is there a rough estimate of when the S7s are likely to cover the full H&C route to Barking? I've seen it mentioned a few times that they will initially only run as far as Moorgate.

The Hammersmith-Moorgate section is a "Preview" service I believe the S7s will start running to Barking when the new timetable begins in December

Further to my report two days ago concerning 21045/046, this train is in passenger service as an S8 today on the Met forming T414.
Also, 21307/308 is having a run out on the Met today as T711. I just wonder whether it is the intention that final S7 testing and commissioning activities will be done at Neasden prior to transfer to Hammersmith?

Seems a fair gap considering the S8 fleet is pretty much done. They aren't likely to need many trains for the preview service stopping at Moorgate, so are the S7 deliveries going to be held off for 4 months or so, or are they going to start looking at the Circle line?

Last of the S8 Stock arrived at Neasden (safe and sound) 21099/21100 and it is named Tim O'Toole CBE hauled by 20905 & 20901. 7X09 won't be running again now until after the Olympics and paraOlympics in September.
