Thanks for the replies, off to knights rail to see if they will play ball. The boiler will be pressed at 100psi so it looks like it should be ok. Only use them for starting off from the 'station'

Can anyone help with the following
1) what pressure do the whistles operate
2) what are the dimensions ( say from a C stock car)
3) what would be the best route to take to buy one, if 1+2 are suitable for one to fit on my 5in gauge steam loco? ( it would be under the tender!!)
Thanks
Ron
Oh had a bit of a bonus on Sunday on the outer reaches of the Met top and tailed 66 on a weedkiller rain, the chiltern class 117? sandite/weedkiller, and then the A stock RAT all running

Travelled on the Met last night and noticed that an LT sign that had been hanging on the fencing of the houses on the Down side somewhere between Harrow and Finchley Road has now disappeared. IIRC it was one i had never seen before, and was abot he size of the station name signs that are on the far tunnel wall at stations.
Does anyone else recall seeing it and what the wording was?

Re the West Coast Sleepers into the old Eurostar complex
Will they use class 92 all the way, or put up some OHL just for it?

This has puzzled me for years, and i do mean years! Why are these only situated on deep level tube lines and not all over the system?

there may well be more than one answer but, this question was turned down on Nat Rail forum as it needed to be an 'ongoing' thread
The question is
Where in the UK can you travel on a train in a northbound direction to the next station, Get off at that station and then board another northbound train that will get you back to the station where you started?

Yearsago there was an episode of Shelley where there was a tube breakdown. Might have it on video somewhere

Went to Harrow on the Hill yesterday to do some videoing. As i was on oyster, had a 80min window before logging out, but wanted to stay 2-3 hrs to get all stock running. Thought of getting a single back to Hillingdon , but £4.30!!!!!! ticket clerk suggested i chat to supervisor. Did so and what a great guy aid i could stay as long as needed and check back with staff to log in again.
If anyone on here knows the staff on yesterday, between 11.30 and 2.30 please pass on my thanks. Good advert for the firm

Just to confirm if i may. I can go to a reader without going past the gates and log out. stay on the platform for say 2hrs, then go back to the same reader and log in for the return journey? Oh and as an aside how many A units are rostered to work between 11.00 and 16.00? (would post on the met line sub forum, but for some reason, it classifies me as a guest!

So i can log out on the platform within the 80 mins, stay on platform for say 2hrs, hopefully enough to get the complete roster through, and then log in and return to whence i came? As a supplementry, how many A units will be rostered off peak 11.00-16.00? (reason is although i can log in and post on here, when i go to the Met line sub forum it ays i am a guest!!

Hoping to go there tomorrow to video A Stock. Travelling by Oyster and here is theproblem. I am allowed 80mins between z6-5 and v.v. Do you think the station staff would allow me to log out, but stay on platform and then log in when i want to leave, or would it be better to oyster there and then get a ticket back which has no time restriction?
