I suppose even if they don't need to check the trains when detraining, passengers will never technically be allowed across any disc shunt signal. Remember, that Operational Standards Notice 101 became operational from 25 Sept 2011, which allows exactly this! It can't just be me that's drawn the parallel between Room 101 and OSN 101......

I suspect OSN 101 is the first step. I would think relaxing tipping out procedures may need to be subject to a further risk assessment, probably on a location/line specific basis.

A visit to the Pump house was made by me, by appointment, yesterday. I can confirm that work is being done on the 3186 to remove graffiti and wire the electrics. Just under half of the rear of 3016 is still on site and the volunteers on site are still trying to get hold of the doors and windows before any attempt at restoration can be made.

I'm led to believe 3067 has moved from Ruislip to London Road depot now. Is this something do do with extra Bakerloo line trains?

Sort of. It will move the withdrawn 1972 mk1 train out for scrap.

What's the fate for the unit at Acton? Was this the unit that was being used as a kind of shunter at N.Park?

I'd like to hope they will be Bakerloo Line spares but who knows. This week heralds the end of a historic stock. Its a real shame if no working examples are kept. Fingers crossed for some 67/72 stock...

On the same subject. Theres a 62TS partly stripped in one shot - But it looks like the bare ali has been cleaned. The cab also looks like its been carefully dismantled. This shot is shown on the 30th October collection.

I see the bogies have been painted yellow!! Maybe they're "accomodation" bogies so they can move it about whilst the real ones are elsewhere for work?

Perhaps. The 1962 stock car is ex Acton and is for scrap. It probably had the asbestos removed. There is also an A stock car The yello remote controlled machine looks like an LU device. It has the Met crest and A/D ends.

3061 and 3161 were down there for component swapping (to give us some 67TS bits) and for asbestos removal. Now back at Acton Works for the ERU to practice with.

Dan

What did it do? (move cars around depots?) and where was it from? It was built in the Netherlands and was used in Neasden Depot, to move A stock cars in the sheds, other LU depots have them. www.niteq.nl/page/en/home.php
