Just added a picture taken yesterday of the last two units to remain at North Park depot: www.flickr.com/photos/seaeagle47002/5913060591/in/photostream both are marked up car for reuse, do not scrap. Turning the clock back a couple of months, the railtour on May 15th raised the grand total of £8464 for the Railway Children charity, thanks to all who took part. There will be a presentation of the cheque at North Park depot on the 22nd July.

Maybe I'm going mad, but the 67s in Seaeagles pics look sad just sitting there, as if you can imagine them with a sad face.... knock knock... hello men in white coats

Has anyone got any idea whatsoever as to what these saved 67TS are actually going to be used for. I've heard that 3103/4103/3184/4184 may be used on the Bakerloo line to boost capacity, as they are converted 72mk1 stock, however other examples marked not for scrap are ATO fitted and therefore cannot be used anywhere without heavy modification.

You could put the '67 DM-T cars in the middle and have the '72s facing out? Exactly a reverse of what happened on the Victoria Line.

It could be possible to make up an additional train for the Bakerloo, by replacing the UNDM in unit 3299 with a DM car, and pairing that UNDM with a DM-T combination (equipment and electrical alterations required). A 4-car unit could then be made up from two other DM-T combinations. Quite a few modifications would be needed to bring them up to standard for the Bakerloo Line. Does the Bakerloo need any more trains? More likely the cars are being stored as spares.

Exactly a reverse of what happened on the Victoria Line. 3105/4105, 3141/4141 & 3085/4085 might still be at Acton Works or even Eastleigh and as these are all 72TS mk1's, there could be some scope to form a full train of 72TS mk1's or including some 67TS cars which have had their ATO equipment disabled in the middle cab.

I would have thought that would have been the plan, but would there not still be electrical modifications required for this?

Sighted 3086, along with A stock 5110 in Acton Works yesterday, from the field of a sports and social club, which allows you to stand next to them, (bar the fence being inbetween). The current was live and the fans were still running on 3086. Along the other side of it were a few others, couldn't see the numbers but I'm sure people know.

It says on the 'Modlify Profile' page that avatars can be no more than 100 x 100 pixels (how true that is I'm not sure) so I've reduced it to that and hosted it here. Go to 'Profile' then 'Modify Profile' and paste the link into the appropriate bit. If you want to host it yourself, PM me your email address.

Is that Johnston on the lorry? Never.. Oh look, it even has a train on the back! The Allelys logo is in a font very like Johnston but if you go their website you'll see it isn't Johnston. Little details like the end of the 'e' are different. It isn't Gill Sans or New Johnston either. Now for a real font enthusiast to track it down....

I suggest that it is Myriad (which is the default Adobe Illustrator typeface), but it has marked similarites to Humnst777 BT.
I am not a font fan, but these things look familiar.

From what I can tell no 67 stock are being scrapped as of now. They all have notices in them saying DO NOT SCRAP.

Well let's hope this is to be used as a spare trailer for the Bakerloo Line, or perhaps the Bakerloo will get an extra train-if there's room!

Apparently a feasibility study is being done to see whether 2-3 additional trains can be formed for the Bakerloo Line, which might be why so many more are now being saved.
In other news we are hoping to move 3079 to Northfields at some point in the next few weeks.
Regards,
Dan
