Bombardier probably pulled up the old plans for the BREL 92ts. Doors, slam doors and windows next to the slam doors all look the same as the 92ts.
Didn't someone mention heat won't be reduced until regenerative breaking comes on? And that it can only be done once all the 67ts are gone?
I like both stock but prefer the 09ts.

I rode on another 09 train today and it was very uncomfortable, the train was boiling, TBH I much prefer the old trains

It is currently regenerating, but the regen voltage is capped because of 67 Stock, meaning that the amount of regen is not as high as it could be. Once the 67's have gone and the voltage cap can be raised, more energy will be able to be regenerated.

I only use the 09ts now, if a 67ts comes I let it go,can't wait for the 09ts to all be delivered and they can run at their true performance!!

The anouncement about which side the door open is stupid! It would be better to have on the DMI by the window - [DOORS OPEN THIS SIDE] or [DOORS OPEN ON OPPOSITE SITE] I think the announcement is a good idea. The problem with using the DMI is that the information won't be clearly visible from everywhere in a crowded train whereas an announcement gives the information to (nearly) everyone.

I'm sure the message is on the DMIs as well.

Were 16 offered for service this morning. Aim is for at least 15 09 Stocks in the peaks next week.
Not long till they are in the majority.

Rode my second one on Thursday morning, very comfortable I thought! Especially compared to the slightly bumpy ride on a 67 later on that day

Just curious, in terms of height can the suspension be altered on them? Like the old citroens, for example.

I read somewhere that they are altered automatically...can't remember what the circumstances were for that though...
Drove past the depot today, the 09ts looks nice and clean compared to the 67ts.

Nick, I'm pretty sure it's based on height to keep the train correctly in gauge.

Do you think the 2009 stock would be better for passengers ?

Than?
...a poke in the eye with a pointed stick? definitely ...the 1967 stock? almost certainly yes, as the 1867 stock will be come increasingly unrealiable ...an old Citroen? Not if you want to take it banger racing.

Then there was Stephenson, and the Rocket, but I think that's pushing it..

Saw 2 trailers coming down the M1, roughly around 7 this evening. I think I managed to ID one of them as 14044 but I could be wrong.

Train 20 has been commissioned, and is just awaiting some paperwork to be signed off, so expect it in service over the next couple of days. Train 21 is due for a commissioning run on Thursday night, so probably in service early next week if all goes to plan.

From the less-appropriate trial runs thread: I missed 5 trains at Highbury & Islington and gave up. None to be seen. Then today at Kings Cross one raced out of the southbound platform just as I arrived and the next one was an 09TS too! In my limited experience, there seem to be a flight of 67s and then flight of 09s, rather than them being mixed randomly.

I *still* haven't been on an 09 - always been the rather lovely and careworn 67s when I do the Vic.

Travelled on the Victoria Line today - I'm pretty sure it must be the new stock. One side of fold-up chairs, one side of permanent chairs, 3 in each of those compartments. Sort of retro. I liked it. Might do it again, although doesn't go to many of the places I need to be all that often.
