Caused a 15 minute delay, not sure what the problem was, but it carried on in passenger service afterwards.

Train numbers 215, 220, 234, 235, 241, 243, 244 (became 247), 245 and 246 were all 09 stock in the evening peak. Does this mean that 271 and 272 don't run any more?

They still run, but I haven't seen 2009 stock on them for a while. 271 and 272 were the paths used for T/OP training. They do Northumberland Park depot, Seven Sisters - Brixton - Seven Sisters - Northumverland Park depot, then come out a whole hour later and do the same again (except in the peaks). Maybe now that all T/OP's have been trained, they'd rather run the 2009 stock on paths that means the trains don't sit around in the depot for hours on end!

If anyone is around tomorrow, (Sunday 12th Sept), trains 211, 212, 213, 214 & 223 are booked to be 09's. Didn't quite work out as planned, train 212 was a 67 stock, (units 32 & 69), the others started the day as 09's, but train 214, (11005 & 11006), had a failed T.C.M.S at around 09.00 and train 213. (11023 & 11024) had the same defect just after 2.30 at Victoria south, (I was driving!). Booked for 09 stock tomorrow and the rest of this week to Friday are trains 222, 231, 234, 235, 236, 237, 241, 244, 245, 246 & 271, although some may not be out for the whole day and these are of course subject to change.

I use the Vic daily, and have racked up a dozen or so short trips on the 09's.
Today we were held outside Victoria for a short while. The T/OP did a good job of keeping us informed, but the sound quality of the PA system was very poor, in both Volume and distortion (the automatic announcements were a bit softer than ideal but perfectly clear). It was bad enough that I actually missed what the actual problem with the train ahead was (possibly a passenger alarm?) - Car number was 12019.

What I understand there will be a software fix coming, but as and when is anybodies guess at this time.

A software fix? That was the last thing I was expecting to hear.
Like when the Toyota's had their brake problems. A software update.
I work in IT as well so I should know better how widely software is used in...well everything!

'This train has encountered an error and will now terminate. "OK" ' Seriously though - I'd not be surprised if everything is IP based (tunnelled of course!). (sorry couldn't resist the IT pun)

I'll need to travel Euston - Victoria next month at around 9pm. Are there any 09TS sets running that late in the evening? I've not been on one yet.

What happened to the space trains? I thought the new Victoria line stock were going to have the carriages joined together so you could stand in the join between them, and the seats set further towards the windows to create more space between them?

That proposal died years ago! Forgot to post earlier, but there were seven 2009 stock about on Saturday: set numbers 206, 211, 212, 215, 221, 241 and 246.

That proposal died years ago! At the Aldwych exhibition they suggested such a concept was on the board for the Bakerloo line.

Had the pleasure of riding on an 09 stock on Sunday evening, very smooth ride I thought and definitely superior to the old stock which I rode earlier in the day.

I was on one of these on Saturday... wasn't even planned, just happened to be getting the Victoria Line from Victoria after coming in to Central London from the Acton Depot to find an 09ts pulling in.
I have to say, I was quite impressed and thought it was quite a comfortable journey.

yes astock5000 - it ran an evening path on Thursday last week. Should be being used the same as any other new train now.

I took my first ride on an 09 from Stockwell to Oxford Circus. Let one 67 go first. You can certainly tell an 09 is coming. The approach noise is different and the headlights are dazzling! My thoughts: Very similar to a 92ts on looks. Seats were hard but fair and force you to sit up straight - can only be a good thing! The trains seemed smooth The train felt quite hot and was very lightly loaded - disppointed! The anouncement about which side the door open is stupid! It would be better to have on the DMI by the window - [DOORS OPEN THIS SIDE] or [DOORS OPEN ON OPPOSITE SITE] The door chimes were far too quiet My ears were popping a lot when reaching a certain speed. Liked the lights on the floor by the doors All in all, not bad. Would I rather take a 67 or a 09? 1967s all the way, they still sound and feel great! Got on the Bakerloo afterwards....
